Is it just me, or is the new Rating Check not actually working? It's possible I may be doing something wrong (or rather, not doing something right) but I followed the instructions Mason gave in his post, and I still can't get any pop-up or information to show for me. I even tried adding a fresh rating to a build just now, to see if maybe the change only applies to ratings given after it was put into effect. Still no luck. Can anyone confirm that it is actually working, and if so, describe how you did it?
Same for me. Was curious about some of my builds, but it didn't work. Checked my browser's settings about pop ups, but that one was fine. Waiting for a solution as well.
A new feature added that's broke and no word from Grimm for days?! The PGI Development virus is spreading!
He's a busy fella these days. Too much Real-Life. Yes, it looks as if the new feature never got implemented. I could really care less WHOOOO rated a build, as long as people take the time to at least give some rating and/or critique. Chya'knowhadmsayin'?!
He certainly has. And he isn't making it easier on himself either running it solo and shipspecs beside it
You mean there's something more important in real life than mwo? I guess Star Citizen dogfighting module comes out tomorrow... God knows mechspecs is going to get absolutely hammered when clans come next month. Mixing and matching mech parts is going to be insane and everyone and their brother will be coming here.
Click on the actual number rating If it says "RATED 12 TIMES" click on that and there will be a pop up. If that isn't working I will double check to ensure there are no security flags that need to be activated for you clowns.
Ok, I've discovered the issue. There IS a flag that needs to be set. I have left it disabled for now because it would allow an individual to see who voted and what they voted but it would also allow that individual to delete all the ratings for that post; as you can see this presents a problem. Until a fix is patched in I can't allow that vulnerability.
Understood, Mason, and I agree; the whole point of ratings is so people can see what others think of certain builds, so the ability to remove those ratings would defeat the purpose, so to speak. Thanks for the heads-up.
AHHHHHAHAHA!!! YES! ALLOW US TO DELETE ALL NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND RATINGS! I LOVE IT! Oh man, that would've been so funny for April 1st.
It works! Interesting, which (old & known mechspecs) guys trollvoted on my builds.. good to know. Now i can watch them with Eyes of the Grim Reaper. Besides, i was surprised, that i even found out, that it is possible (?) to give more than 1 vote??? Take my FS9-E "Disco" Build for example. 3 votes out of the 8 were from one person!? How can that be?
I don't know how that is possible. Could be a hiccup? I've deleted all the ratings for that build as someone rating 3 times is not good.
Thanks for the work you put into this, Mason, I'm sure we all appreciate it. Well, at least most of us. I imagine anyone who 1-starred builds for no reason (and I'm not saying someone did, just IF they did) won't be too happy now! Thanks again. And let's hope this stays completely neutral, and that no hot-headed arguments arise as a result. Let's all be gentlemen now . . .
Now it's easy for everyone to see who of us often give low-lowest Ratings without any comment for whatever troll or personal reason. Fortunately there are only few ones, so i see no real threat, not yet at least. On the other Hand it's good to see the fair Ratings of the serious Reviewers. This is the best & easy solution that we can have. Thx for everything.
It won't become a problem. If it does I will simply mute or ban those who tangle things in drama. Ain't got no time for 'that.
