For anyone that have played Tribes this must sound very familiar. I wonder how far the CTF game type made it ;-)
[glow=red,2,300]clairvoyant soy[/glow] says: will tie in to CW. you know, planets... bases... capture objectives... difficulty........ etc... these things might also relate to curbing easy cheese victories in CW, since it should be about actually fighting it out... good way to stymie 1 light going and capping out solo and singlehandedly winning a planet or something absurd like that, mechanically speaking...
These little turrets and their AI are very exciting. Much more than CW, I would really like to see some CoOP vs. AI missions. You talk about maybe buying multiple missions where you can win objectives against the AI with a number of buddies, and I am in. I can envision multiple mission modes, where you pay in a percentage of the winnings to 'get the contract', then drop and go against the AI with overwhelming odds. Depending on how you do, your payouts are different and re-arm/repair could be reintroduced to make it more fun. Now the balance comes on the side of what you are making for cbills vs difficulty and you have a way to chill and help teach your friends who want to get into the game, but are put off by the PVP factor, thus introducing more people to the IP and generating more revenue for PGI. A guy can dream.... :blush:
