I also have gtx560ti 1gb, Intel i5-3570, RAM 8gb 1600mhz and fps may drop to 20 during massacres which is rather poor for me What is your secret? Could you clarify your full specs? P.s. forgot to mentioned that my graphic settings are everything on low, 1280x1024 !
Nvidia cards have had a performance advantage with cryengine games so it's no surprise a 560ti would do better than it otherwise would. But I doubt it would hold up at all in most combat situations these days. And frankly, nothing is overkill when it comes to getting the best frames you can for a multiplayer shooter. I think a GTX670 is probably the sweet spot for this game, though, especially since the 760 is a little slower but the 770 can be a bit faster. I bought one for my girlfriend's rig and the guy threw in a 120gb Intel Cherryville SSD for a whopping total of $180, lol. Screw buying new cards
560 Ti 440 core i7 2600 (it had 8gb and now has 16gb) Samsung SyncMaster P2350 @ 1920x1080 Regular RPM drives (no SSD yet)
You could be stuttering because your VC only has 1gig of ram, but... I am running: AMD FX 6350 Black Edition 3.9GHz Six-Core 8 gig DDR3 1866 GA-990FXA-UD3 Socket AM3+ 990FX ATX EVGA GTX560 Ti 1gig GDDR5 @ 1920x1080 I don't experience any slowdowns, but I run all my settings on low except for textures and model detail, those are both max (just prference no real performance reason). Before I updated my architecture from the AMD Phenom II X2 Dual-Core 3.2GHz The game would stutter a lot, to the point if I was trying to pilot a light, the game would be unplayable.
Could be all of the particle effects. I know that when my 'mech is getting pounded my framerate takes a nose-dive.
Even with 1GB of ram, the GTX560Ti should have more than enough horsepower to run MWO at 1920x1080. To have slowdowns at 1280x720 with everything set to Low means something is likely wrong with his computer setup. I'm wondering if something like FXAA is turned on by default in the NVIDIA control panel, which would kill framerates in every game.
