MWO sites and forums other than Mechspecs?

ey guys you mad? No mechspecs anmore? seriously? can't be... Mechspecs is 75% of my MWO experience man!
As I'm an Autist with Asperger's and OCD, I have a little trouble following this thread but as I understand it, the issue is 1) funds (though I know that 500 usd / year is much more expensive than necessary), 2) Lackof moderators (?) and what appears to be mass-exiodus from MWO (wrong? is MWO doing okay and I'm just misinterpreting things)?

I actually may do that. I've decided to keep MechSpecs.com running for MECHWARRIOR/BATTLETECH related stuff. The night before the Hawken deal was going to complete I tossed and turned and tossed and turned. I HATE the idea of that game getting the domain. Well, I shouldn't say HATE but it was really eating at me. Then Jordan Weisman expressed interest in the domain although they opted out because they have to focus on development for the next 18 months but I thought to myself "Why not keep it. Use it for the Battletech game if it comes out and looks good and MWO falls on its face after the last pack doesn't sell etc".

So, be warned. I may take you up on that looking for mods and content creators etc. YouTube now lets you assign assistant managers to channels and stuff so could even have content creators upload to the channel without giving away the master creds!

 

OK, I have some time anyways, just be aware that I am in GMT+8 or so, weird timezone.

 

Well I just installed Adobe premiere elements. Better vids on the way

 

Be careful with Premiere if doesn't work very well with variable frame rate video streams (like game capture videos) the sound goes out of sync. I was using Premiere but moved to Sony Vegas because it does handle it natively and I don't have audio sync problems.

Wow.. I was away for months.. no gaming due to health... started going full throttle back int MWO... come back to this site and sheesh this thread is a freakin rollercoaster ride of emotions!

So is the site staying or what? I hope so. I will start throwing some money back at the site within a couple weeks if it isn't a lost cause

Or do I need to start saving builds

So far it is staying although the SSL certificate has been a pain in the ass to renew. I paid for the renewal but may have deleted a piece of information the host needed to apply it. He and I are working on it through emails. It is paid until December which gives me time to rebuild my machine in the new box with the new gear and rediscover MWO and hopefully fall in love with it again. Time will tell.

 

I understand.. we all lose interest in games.. but I usually find myself going back at it after a few months... totally been there

Although I gotta say I am not a fan of the new Forest Colony map..
