HA the superiority complex people have there, I've never seen such arrogance on a game board for a long time. No wonder I never go there. Apparently if you have a high post-count you must be superior to all others, at least that's the feeling I get from all the ass-hats there.
Meh, let them roll in their numbers of superiority. As you said there, don't QQ about QQ'ers, so abide by that If they're QQing that their opinion is not represented by most people, don't QQ back at their behaviour.
I was silly enough to post on one LRM thread as everything was non factual ... not dared go back to check what happened after. I do try to help on the new player side but a lot of the rest of the forums I ignore as they're so toxic and full of trolls.
Never have I seen a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. I avoid the official forums outside of TRUE desperation.
I've been bored lately with little work or anything else to do so I decided to sit on the boards for a bit to fill the time gap. If feels like as soon as one person has an opinion or says that you are wrong, they have several "friends" who back them up in a point-and-laugh condescending kind of way. They are right, you are wrong, because they have an opinion and it has to be the one-truth, otherwise you are a troll, you are in junior high, or you aren't intelligent. Basically what it sums up to. I have enjoyed a few threads that provided constructive and useful thoughts and ideas, but as soon as you say something that one person doesn't like or agree with... GOD FORBID you try to stand up for your idea or try to communicate on any reasonable level.

The Official Forums is like a sauna mud bath in dagobah... the closest thing to a twi'lek girl is a stinky old wrinkly slime munching hermit, and probably not even that. Reading that ghostheats my braincells.
I unfortunately went to the Official Forum last week, trying to see if PGI had made any statements about the current state of LRMs. Well, like a fool, I was sucked into the early pages of the LRM Feedback post in Patch Notes... The stupid. Oh, so much stupid. It hurts.
I venture to the official forums from time to time to check and see if anyone has replied to my one post "No Clans Before Community Warfare"...... it is buried by at least 12 pages of nonsense now. I say nonsense because it is written in I'manidioteese, and I just don't speak that. It doesn't even look familliar to me. It is, by far and wide, a horrid bottomless pitt of suck that can serve no purpose other than bleeding intelligent beings dry. In fact, I would have to say, that it sucks worse than the suckiest suck that ever sucked a sucking suck.... so, it sucks pretty bad over there..... Just sayin.
Has to be said having played MMO's since Acheron's Call 1 on Darktide and quite a few FPS I think this might be a slight exaggeration but only because I think it can be applied to any pvp game. Go check the new player sub forum and you'll find people putting in a lot of personal time to help. Whether you do or don't like the players involved that should be applauded if only because without a steady influx of new players we have no opponents and just end up all shooting the same old bittervets! Also I prefer a battle where I feel I really had to play my best - win or lose - which means opponents that know their stuff and have good fits rather than just being farmed. The MWO General forums I totally agree with you though. PS: I want my gold Daishi.... far more than I want CW so .. no.
somehow, I think we should try to funnel the better n00bs here at mechspecs, it is a better place for the gaming development in the long run.
