Is there any information on trying to play MWO on a joypad? I'm currently playing with mouse and keyboard but I'd like to run on an Xbox controller. When trying to set up the buttons it does not work, X and Y axis are strange, buttons aren't recognized. Some things just get strange. Is it the controller or is it just that this game isn't ready for them yet?
it sounds like you need the drivers from microsoft updated. http://www.howtogeek.com/118059/how-to-use-an-xbox-360-controller-on-your-windows-pc/ this ought to help you do a bit more configuration. That, and make sure your computer recognizes the joystick as such, then configure the MWO options to match.

Thank you Blagg Zear, I appreciate you hunting that down for me. :blush: I feel a little goofy for not hitting up their own website first. I really want to use a game pad for MWO as I feel like I (and this is absurd) have more fine control with a game pad than I do with a mouse. Keyboard is fine, but for things like zooming and trying to plink with a Gauss Rifle my hand shakes too damned much and makes those shots incredibly difficult. I was hoping that if I switched over to a gamepad that I wouldn't have to worry about the shakes like that. As it stands I've got my mouse sensitivity down to 3 and that just makes me bait for Wolfpacks. Looks like I'm switching back to LRM boats!
