I've had a few 8 kill matches but never a 9+. However, there is one match that I will always remember from April last year (ANZAC Day to be precise). I have had many many games with more damage in this mech (1100/1200/1300) and even 6-7 kills but this one was most memorable. I was using my favourite assault mech and build of all time. "Napolitana" The story The match was quite interesting. We spawned from lower on Alpine and pushed up to the H7 ridge (somewhat valid strat back then) using teamchat to communicate, we then took lots of ranged fire from the G9-I9 as we pushed with myself at point. After taking significant damage took partial cover from I9 fire next to the small hill in H8 while returning fire on high H9. Our team was then decimated in a valiant skirmish in the open of H8 under support fire with only the Atlas RS and I alive. 6 down 2v8 We jumped of the ledge into I8 to shake LRM locks and then climbed up for our last stand, knowing it was the end of us (you could climb up from I8 to H8 with the old mechanics). Cresting, we were met with Jenner and Trebuchet circling us. I cored them out in quick succession (streaks used to hit CT more), but not before our Atlas was claimed. 1v6 Accepting my fate, I charged towards the hunchie and dragon closing in, quickly coring the dragon followed by the hunchie whilst torso twisting like madman, then making a beeline for the dakakaphract in the corner of H9/H8/G9/G8, quickly taking advantage for it's lack of twisting while flicking my right arm in the way of shots at my crit RT. I was now in partial cover H8/G8 1v3 Up until now, most of the enemies had been somewhat damaged with red armour, yellow internals so I could finish them quickly, however the last 3, Awesome, Cat and jager were only golden-brown as they were support. Meanwhile I had a crit back, RT and RA, RL and orange/red armour elsewhere and had lost heatinks (pushing towards the phract earlier had exposed by right side to heavy fire). From here I ridge peeked against the dakkajager who was pushing down towards me through H9. I got his XL in a few volleys but took damage in the process. Now the Awesome, who had been high in I9 made it down the valley near me H8 while the Catapult (poor guy brought SRMs on alpine) was in I8 still. I tried to tank as much with my less damaged LT against the awesome and cat but lost my LT weapons as I was finishing the awesome. my RT, RA, RL were already crit and couldn't afford to lose any more weapons. I then tanked with my CT, which was only yellow internals (and would benefit from destroyed LT damage reduction) and then took on the cat which thankfully legged me instead of hitting my torsos cleanly. I cored it in a few volleys while my CT was Red internals. I then looked around for more but my mech wouldn't move. It was over. Finally over. It was this match that actually persuaded me to record my games and livestream. All players from both teams gave a good effort and it was "one of those" matches that I may not have again where every shot hit the target. Fake twisting and using LCTRL to keep track of my enemies while twisted was very helpful and I learnt that efficient, clean kills are much better than lots of spread damage.
Finally got the Ace of Spades two days ago in my Ember in the Canyons. Pretty pumped, especially since 4 others on my team got under 200 damage and we still somehow managed to pull out a win
9 kills epikt try to do better ! 3AC5 , 2 large laser is the best build ever. link of the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cTgwY_Z__U
This shameless montage doesn't fool anyone, everybody knows I'm the best of us two and that here is the real screenshot!
One of those last man standing games. I hope it counts even if I dropped with 1 other person (My A1 buddy) I've had higher match score games recently, but they are usually to the tune of 900 damage, 9 assist, 2 kill games, so they don't look as pretty. I believe I was using 2UAC5, some LPL (2 I think), and some SSRMs (3 I think). I think I've only had one other 8 kill game, but none since the achievements started.
The best i have done in a single game, for kills. I cant seem to break 6 lol This was done in a JM6-S with a variant of the Hammerfall Spec by Cpt Chattahah
7 consecutive kills 8v8 with VTR-9K 8 kills Triple LBX Ilya http://i.imgur.com/4D9Emio.jpg[/img] 8 kill BJ-1 (another 8 in a BJ-3 somewhere) http://i.imgur.com/4k7G3SO.jpg[/img] Thought I had a 9 kill match somewhere, unless my last good (great, completely awesome) match was a 1k BJ-1 game and it felt like 9 kills, lol.
Well, even though I don't have proof of my 8 kills I've now got proof of the 7 kills with an AC2 boat in a solo PUG drop.
So close... in the DDC, felt like Aidan pride at Tukayyid... only had a CTF-1x at 39% to keep me company. We were at their base, fending off one enemy after another, just the two of us. Came up against an identical DDC to mine, thanks to the CTF having some weapons still, we won, we then fell an LRM Stalker. Eventually both of us fell to an AC40 Jagger.
Oh woops, posted this screenshot in the 1k Jager thread because it was the best I could do, lol Down 7-0 and then went under the platform on Crimson and took out at least 7 enemies consecutively. Gotta love what AC40 can do for you, lol. Also, I'm certain that I did not fire any weapons until about 5 minutes into the match. Those damn LRM/PPC/AC5 rounds were flying everywhere
I've had many better rounds damage-wise, but this is the highest number of kills I could find in a screenshot. Know I've done better, I just forgot to take a pic Edit, DERP! How about I upload the right damn screenshot! Still...half a team ain't bad
http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=5960.0 That's what I was using at the time. I run PPC/ERPPC now to deal with heat better tho. I hit 999 damage with it before, never quite broke 1k...it has disadvantages vs the 3M, but it was fun for a while
Happens to the best of us Snagged a screenshot of this round last night with my Ember. Pretty good one!
