Yeah those can be the most frustrating or the best of matches though as sometimes they push you to excell. I almost play for those battles where you personally turn it around. But then I'm agressive and find sitting still very hard. I remember capping out the enemy side on river city when we were down to 2 vs 6 (my cheesy AC40 DD and a locust or raven which literally did nothing) which doesn't sound great but I killed the 4 people that tried to save their base, disarmed the fifth and felt I REALLY earnt that victory. In hindsight I'm still not sure why they didn't just cap us out but 6 vs 2 and them seeing we're capping their base must have been very tempting. Nothing like the person in our unit that killed the last 6 on the other side in his wolverine solo to win a match 11 vs 12 but I'm still happy with it.
First 4-5 mins of this vid shows a 9 kill round I had last August with very little editing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykyVT3Azvb0 If you watch closely, it should've been an 11 kill round; IronChance was in LoS for one missed killshot early on, and then at some point a cored light gets away from me and another light takes him out. I had a 10 kill round one time, but it wasn't recorded. dual ppc / gauss 3d
Got a 7 kill match in a Jenner today, which is my current best I think. Sadly my client was running in full-window for some reason, so the screenshot went crazy huge.
Probably the best game I've ever played despite the lower damage number. Shoot to kill my friends
I was gonna fetch screenshots. As you can see, plenty of 7 kill matches, but still want that 8 kill match Oh and this was interesting too:
not me, but this guy though... Chainsaw build sat in the back behind the assaults that pushed forward. He did shoot a bunch getting to his position though, but let the rest of the team take all the damage. Great situation awareness. When most of the team was dead, he went to the corner and powered down. Powered up shortly after the rest of the team died and then proceeded to slaughtered everything. All of the mechs were opened up and either orange or red. Most only took 1 volley of AC5s and they went down. I was laughing so hard. Could you imagine thinking "11 to 1, this game is OVER" and then this happens!? Ran out of ammo too. Damn funny. http://i.imgur.com/16oZ9Li.jpg[/img]
Sol, you're telling me there were ELEVEN enemies left when he powered down?? He made a last stand victory against 11???
He didn't power down when it was him vs. the world. He saw that our entire team was dying at a steady rate, so he just let them do what they could (1 kill lol) until our entire team was dead. Then he moved in and killed what was left of all the mechs. It was insane. If I remember correctly, he was nearly fresh when our entire team was dead. Forest colony and the enemy position made it so he only saw 1 enemy mech at a time, maybe 2, but one always fell instantly because of how damaged they were. Look at all the damage scores, there weren't too many slackers on the team. 4 others were over 500 and everyone else was near 200. Went like this pretty much. *looks to the left* *spots mech* *shoots CT* *dead* *looks to the right* *spots mech* *shoots CT* *dead* *rinse-repeat* By the end, the remaining mechs had brought him down to 48% and it was him vs. the last mech (I think it was a Highlander with a open-red CT. It was really anyone's game at that point. They were both out of ammo and only had their energy weapons left, it was very intense! I think the Highlander missed his shot or at least missed his CT, but Karbon was able to scrape the Highlanders CT to finish it off. The whole thing was surreal. CubeOH, Rolly, and I were speechless. Like wut!?
