Michael is gonna kill me but I don't care

I spoke with Michael tonight as I check in some times to see what fun things he has going on for games other than Mech Warrior Online and to see what other projects he has going on as I find them interesting and useful for the most part. He talked about getting himself a Starfair for the game Star Citizen. For those of you who follow that game you will know what it is.

I also happen to know from reading here that Michael was hurt at work this week or last week and probably does not have extra money he wishes he could have so I am calling all us Mech Specs lovers to chip a couple of dollers his way over the next 7 days so he can get this ship sort of like a chrismas gift from all of us to him for all the crap he puts up with from us. I am not familiar with what LZI means and all these terms he speaks of but maybe some of you are.

I even sent Michael a message asking him to keep track of it for us with one of the graph things that this site has had before. I know he will kill me but I think it is a worthy cause and I know I am willing to chip in a few dollers to make it happen.

The Starfarer is a large freighter that you can pilot in the Star Citizen Universe. Starting Monday 18th, they will sell "limited ships" (as in ships that are not up for sale all the time but only on special occasions) all throughout the week, ending Monday 25th.
The Starfarer will be last in line and on sale only on Monday 25th. This is the last time you can buy ships with an LTI, a life time insurance on the hull and basic systems. After that you'll have to buy and renew your insurance (or risk loosing a ship for good). It's a nice conveniance perk.
Expect a price tag around 200$. I'm considering to buy the ship too, but I already have way too many ships as it is (I lie to people how many I have ) so I'll probably just return one of my ships and get me the limited racer version of it, with only a moderate price difference to make up. I'm pretty sure one of my guild mates is getting himself a Starfarer on the occassion, tho, and I suspect 2 others as well

The MISC Starfarer will show up in the "Ships" selection on Monday, November 25th and be up all day.
Once someone bought the ship, use this link https://robertsspaceindustries.com/account/pledges
It will show the ship, and if you open the description there will be a "GIFT" button. All that is required then is Michael's SC handle (my money's on "Grimm Mason" or something like that but I don't know) and the email address he used with SC.
Then a mail will be sent to him with a link he needs to click to claim the ship, and that is that.

I just saw this post down here this morning Apparently I need to scroll down more often to see the unread stuff in the OT sections.

First, its LTI, not LZI LOL maybe my Canadian accent makes it sound like a Z(ed) over TS3? LTI = Lifetime Insurance. Its complicated to explain for non-citizens but I think Marec explained it well enough.

Second, I am not dead LOL merely off work for a month while my back heals up then on modified duties for 2 months and then pending a medical exam I can get back on the truck. I shall recover and I will be back out there saving lives and stealing virtues before you know it. Probably by February I will be back on a truck full time.

Third, I go by Mason Grimm on Star Citizen as well as on Mechwarrior and pretty much everywhere else but here. Even here people call me Grimm sometimes. Actually, I pretty much go by Mason Grimm everywhere now. Sure I have an alt account here and there that allows me some anonymity but for the most part what you see here is what you see anywhere else.

Fourth (wow 4 things?), While I appreciate the gesture Jacob, I won't make this an official donation project for Mech Specs as you folks have already stepped up and helped out big. We got this fancy new VPS server we are on and scripts that we needed and everything else you can imagine under the sun. Hell some of you donated just so you wouldn't have to see ads.
