After a few PMs from a couple of members we finally decided to get around to putting together our YouTube channel; MechSpecsTV. We will now host videos from various mech variant breakdowns and combat tests to illustate, in real time, the good, the bad and the ugly of the specific build. You can click the top of each page where it says MechSpecsTV and be taken to our YouTube channel where we will add stuff, as we are able to. Currently we have one video with the CN9-A Grimm Variant Centurion. Yes, the voice over audio isn't what it could be but not all of us get major sponsors to send us good swag. We will fix that when time and money permit. In the mean time over the coming weeks we will allow you guys to throw out suggestions on which builds you would like to see turned into Combat Test / Gameplay videos and then we will have a vote-off with the winner being immortalized in YouTube fame!
Love the video!!! I tried that build last night because of it! You should put out a few more as you are a pretty good pilot! In fact if we all chip in some cash we might be able to get you a better microphone cause dude!!!!! really?!?!?! lol I'll chip in 5$ via the DONATE tab thingy to help get you started. Who is with me?!?!?!
I like it, but what i would suggest is adding a link on the top of the comment of the video on youtube to the corresponding mechspecs.com forums thread. for easier rebuilding the mech and discussing the loadout. and maybe even disable commenting on youtube itself, to promote the mechspecs forum thread.
I will be doing this. I am in the process of reworking the first three video (Jenner + 2 Centurions) to clean some things up and remove the audio for copyright issues preventing YouTube from streaming to mobile devices or blocking in some countries outright. Just waiting on hearing back from Phil at NGNG on a couple of things before proceeding.
Michael - you might be interested in something from www.modmic.com Fairly cheap and excellent voice quality. Sticks right onto the side of existing headphones or just lay it on your table, it's sensitive enough for either job.
