MDD-B "Fighting Dog" (3x cSRM4, 5x cMPlas, TC1)

    Why This Build?
    I saw a build similar to this one but figured they were significantly different enough to warrant a "repost".

    My original thoughts were actually quite similar to the other poster's.... Go for 5x cMPLas and throw the largest cSRMs on there you can for massive burst damage! However, after play testing it, I was just constantly heat limited to the point that it wasn't even really fun to play and often I ended up dying in close quarters fights while waiting for my heat to go down.

    I feel the compromise I made created a more fun and effective 'mech. I downsized the 3x cSRM6+A to 3x cSRM4s (which generate less heat and freed up tonnage), added 3 additional DHS, and maxed out the armor (about 60-80 more armor, depending on build). The TC1 I have in my build was also not present in the other build.

    Possible Modification Ideas
    • Remove a ton of SRM ammo (if you find yourself relying more on the cMPlas) and add another DHS.
    • Go back to cSRM6s and say "screw the heat!"
    Weapon Groupings I Use
    1: 2x cMPlas (Linked, Left)
    2: 3x cMPLas (Linked, Right)
    3: 5x cMPlas (Chain, for when you need to shoot but are near heat limit)
    4: 3x cSRM4 (Linked)
