Just copied from Russ Bullocks Command Chair post on the main forums (2nd March): After a great February that saw the release of Faction chat, VOIP, new Counter attack game mode, a CW map, first resistance mechs, improvements in FPS and more. Here is what we have in store for the month of March: March will have patches on the 3rd and 17th, with the first primarily focused on bug fixes, polish and further performance increases. While March 17th focuses more on content. Performance Optimizations - We are expecting another noticeable performance increase, perhaps as much as our February updates - excited to see what players experience. Released March 3rd patch. VOIP Improvements - Such as: •VoIP speaker icon in the Scoreboard and pre-match screens now indicate when a player is talking. •Clicking on the VoIP speaker icon in the Scoreboard and pre-match screens will now mute that player. The original mute player menu has been removed. Released March 3rd patch. Bug fixes - Several CTD fixes as well areas such as HUD, Mech Torso Spin and a potential fix for the freeze bug allowing Mining collective back into rotation. Released March 3rd patch. New Champion - New Champion released : Griffin 1S(C) details in patch notes. Released March 3rd patch. Drop Deck Tonnage IS vs Clan - We have made a change that will allow IS to take 10 extra tons when they face the Clans in battle. When it is IS vs IS or Clan vs Clan the drop deck tonnage remains the same as it is currently. Released March 3rd patch. The importance of the March 3rd patch shouldn't be underestimated, the improvements to stability and performance are well worth the download. There are also a significant number of bug fixes and polish items I have not listed but you will find in the patch notes. New CW map - A new map under the Tourmaline Desert theme is released for Community Warfare. Released March 17th patch. Final Resistance pack content - Grasshopper and Zeus mechs along with all the faction content and pre-order rewards. Released March 17th patch. Clan Skin content - The following mechs have many of the custom and special skins retrofitted to work with them ( not faction ) - Adder, Kit Fox, Mist Lynx, Nova, Stormcrow, Ice Ferret, Summoner, Timber Wolf, Hellbringer, Mad Dog, Dire Wolf, Warhawk. Complete list of skins will be in the patch notes. Released March 17th patch. Quirks - 4 IS and 4 Clan mechs are getting quirk tweaks or full passes in the case of the clan mechs - specific mechs listed in the patch notes. Released March 17th patch. Mechlab visual treatment - Jaeger mech and the Cataphract get their mechlab visual pass. Released March 17th patch. Future items worth mentioning that are in the pipeline include. The Looking for Group tool/functionality and another CW map both scheduled for release in April. Work is progressing very nicely on the new Mechlab and is scheduled to enter testing by the first part of April. We are also progressing well on a new 4v4 Community Warfare mode, a new MWO tutorial and the decal system. Thanks for playing and your support.
TLDR: On the 3rd - bug fixes / optimization (Factory map might be back). On the 17th - Grasshopper/Zeus; 4 IS and 4 Clan quirks; new CW map; drop deck changes (IS 250t vs Clans 240t, IS vs IS and Clan vs Clan unchanged).
Important sales pitch in this roadmap, do we believe in the product? I already went for wave three on the 27th myself so, my answer is: I want BT to be profitable so MWO evolves into a better game or at the very least we prove viability for future BT games. Oh, @Remarius - might want to include the optimizations in the TLDR for 3rd? Possibly a big ticket item that.
For me, mining collective coming back is the best news. And I`m very curios which IS Mechs get quirked. Are there any unquirked IS still out? Or will there be more nerfs?
Colony coming back, CW map, Quirks pass, all good. More performance optimization so I might finally be able to get the gal to play on her laptop? Even gooder!
Well timed, i had intentionally saved the Highlanders for later and I don't think I even have them up to basic level even. Cheers Aylek.
