Many stalker variants are redundant?

During the 2.5 XP weekend we recently had, combination of the event, daily x2, premium time, and the fact that a 4xLPL pulse boat is just a beast I got 18,018 XP in one match.

I was levelling it and went from just a couple thousand over elited to jist a thousand under mastered in one match.
