It took me 39 battles to get 20 qualifying so 20 more battles to get 10 more qualifying. As it is its improved a bit in my last drops before bed: 43 battles, 28 wins, 85 kills, 29 deaths and 23 qualifying. Should easily finish it tomorrow.
You are aware it's a shorter timespan then usual, Rem? 18 hours left as of this post. I'm done, took 70 games. Had awful loosing streaks of 3-5 games in a row where even if we won we just didn't qualify. 44 wins, 26 losses. 69 kills, 36 deaths. 382 kill assists. Weird how we seem to end up with 70ish games in total! Well, maybe not Hitman since we play together
Took me 92 battles 90 battles. The last 2 in the list have an X beside them but I have achieved 100% so not sure if it is just recording all my matches until the challenge ends? Regardless, it's fucking ridiculous LOL I can honestly say that this has been my worst experience in MWO so far; both in terms of player enjoyment and ROI. The kill stealing was crazy! The cowardice and distribution of work was crazy (as others have mentioned)! Just not an overall satisfying experience. Russ needs to spend less time tweeting about the Seahawks and more time learning on how to keep players happy.
I was able to get it done in 60. Not having to survive was hugely helpful. 32 wins, 113 kills, 38 deaths, 179 assists
86 total games, finally finished. Went 9/10 in a glorious streak with my new Wolverines then went on a horrible hour-long losing streak with them until I just switched back to the Firebrand for the last point. HOLLA new phract
Very interesting to see how many games it took for ppl, I probably could have done it faster if I had gone for the ThunderWub or similar. That thing secures kills every game. Instead I went for 30% earners, netted about 17m CB's.
A lot depended on who you dropped with. First day i was helping some newer players and it was quite hard to get a win which rather skewed my stats.
I must've lost my touch.... with MWO. It wasn't fun to play. And I quitted after achieving 4 points. I must be sick....
I finally managed to grind out #30...but god damn, I had the worst streak there at the end. Took 70 matches to get all 30 qualifying matches...here's what the scores looked like in the end: That streak at the end was awful though. Have never had such bad luck from MM pairings as that.
Yea I got my 30 after 71battles, Lan and another friend did need some more wins so I kept playing and it keeps counting currently at 78. I didnt think this challenge was such a bad idea at start, we had some good battles where even random people was sharing kills. You cant really hold your fire ether as you need the win and always waiting for the target data is not always a option ether. But yea towards the end there it felt more like people was kill-stealing despite they already had there kills.
As predicted, I had no time whatsoever this weekend to even contemplate reaching 30 good drops. So I quickly PUG'd myself 3 to get the premium time and ended up doing a few games over the weekend. In total 20 drops to get 7 good ones. It is hard to define the level of incompetence I have noticed during those 20 drops but for the first in a long time I rage-quit the game. Twice even. There was one bright exception however. When I did one last drop before bed yesterday. I ended up in a really tight battle on HPG. The final moments of the match, my team had 4 badly damaged mechs left and we cornered the last remaining enemy spider (last remaining leg deep red). No one shot the poor bastard until we were sure that everyone had his kill and neither did the spider suicide jump. (And yes, already dead whiners were indeed complaining that we should end the drop,... but hey,... kids will be kids )
I had a match during my final losing streak that almost made me ragequit before getting #30...6 people on my team had zero damage. I...I don't understand...
Overall, we had good games on friday and saturday where most played to win and there was only a fraction of desperate killfrenzy. A few were exceptional and nice, people asking if someone needed that last kill. I may have a screenshot of our team standing around a legged highlander, waiting for the blue guy to take the kill. It became a lot more common on Sunday to see frenzy games and the gaming fun went rock bottom, I owe my lancemates a apology for the rage they may have suffered as I railed over gameplay and mech choices, I really don't like changing my gamestyle to do suicide runs to secure a point. I do like the idea of the challenge but think 30 was a bit much. 20 would've been enough for a CBill bounty with 30 for the mech and bay. I would have called quits at 20, the last 10 pts was a real grind and not much fun. As a consequence, I will likely play something else the next few days. I'm sure others feel similar. So do these challenges fullfill their purpose? Not sure.
In all honesty their purpose is to get the weekend competitions rolling and fill some time while they work on CW before the Resistance pack hits. For me it was to grind c-bills ultimately.
Brace for tomorrrow, Crabs and Dogs incoming! I'll pickup the Crabs, am a little short with only 17m after the weekend but in no hurry really. Will enjoy the hitbox excersize I did with Tobbe on the Crabs with a fast PPC build I think.
