Launch surprises

Ok so tomorrow they Launch, and I for one am hoping for a "just one more thing..." moment. so far the 'launch features' include:
1. Removal of 4 letters .....
2. potential (expected) nerf of (u)AC's
3. picture of what UI2.0 might look like

So in all good 'industry expert' style here are my predictions. Of course no good industry expert would dare to predict anything that might actually be true....

my predictions:
1. Early release of the battlemaster
2. Release of the ares ( http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Ares_(BattleMech) ) and support for 3-pilot mechs
3. Drop balancing by weight
4. Solaris style matches
5. Clan elemental battle armour

To be honest, I expect a nice sale and a patch with the balancing of the UAC5. But nothing more.

 

I'm guessing

- UAC5 "de-buff"
- Removal of the BETA letters
- New map (come on they have to give us SOMETHING new for patch day)
- Sale on... I don't even know.

 

I suspect that PGI wil surprise us with something big for launch. Maybe a new mech(s) purchaseable with MC only to rake in more cash.

 

But what mech would they release? The only remaining announced mech that I can think of (besides the Phoenix mechs) is the Flea, which is hardly going to light many fires (oooh, they could release the Firestarter).

Now, if they did something like release the Banshee to fill up the final weight class, I would be pleasantly surprised.

 

I don't think we will see the Flea for a good long while. Too many issues with HSR the Flea with MASC would be an almost iWIN machine right out of the box.

 

I think they'll surprise the shit out of us on launch and...

Maybe put the Misery on sale?

 

Its gotta be the urbanmech......

 

But it isn't a Friday

 

they'll probably give you founders a big present of some kind. Like a hanging cockpit item.

Imagine if PGI released a Timberwolf with launch.

 

*groans* if they release clans tomorrow it means they have clan avatars and all that which will mean more work for me as I'll have to integrate all the new stuff into the site here and then put up notice so you test tube fanboys can change over from blank or IS avatars to Clan ones (those of you who aren't benefactors that is since they can choose their own).

 

I'm wondering why they don't write anything about the launch on their homepage.. really disappointing.

Somehow i've been looking forward to GTA-V Release tomorrow more than MWO for exactly this reason.

Remember how it really took our breaths, when we first saw MWO? It was soo awesome, and all our deepest desires & dreams were awaken, and we had soo huge hopes for the best Mechwarrior Game of all time.. It was like First Love.. and now we all are sick of being in such a long relationship already with this old lady. And tomorrow is like our wedding day - my darkest fear came true. But remember the first time!

I am expecting that new coastal map as a treat, but then I suppose I don't really want to expect it... or anything really. Probably just end up disappointed then.
