Oh wow, that little guy packs a serious punch! You could probably get by running 1/2 ton MG ammo and another 1/2 of SRM ammo. Or you can drop 1/2 of both to fit in another DHS, not sure which would be better.
I personnaly finished all the basics on this build: Basicaly you have the same amount of salvos as with the 4xSRM6 but better accuracy and less damage. Do you think guys the Artemis is worth the downgrading to SRM4 and less ammo? /Mard
The lack of ECM coupled with the low speed and low armor of the Kit Fox make this build quite tricky to play. It works great if you stick with a friendly heavier brawler that absorbs attention while you pound them away. It gets very hot in basic efficiencies so I removed some ammo and a JJ for an additional heat sink.
This definitely has a lot of firepower. I find myself either running too hot or too short of ammo however. My version uses 12 DHS. I am going to change my build to 2x SRM4 + 2x SRM6 and see how that works. I can always revert if needed.
I run it with 3? JJ i think. That makes it possible to jump-splat at short ranges. My grf-3m with 7jj is far better at this though. I still find it awesome that this thing can fit all these launchers
IF I were to get a Kitfox, this would be the only build worth running I think. It might be a bit vulnerable alone, but running alongside a Stormcrow and Summoner, all three running heavy SRM brawlers . . . I think it'd be just the right light to take.
Hmm, this is a clear "no" for me. It lacks utility and range and provides sth. that lights usually dont: Firepower. Yes, its nice to splash that kind of damage on an enemy Mech, but most of the times you either have to hang back until your team did all the damage and you have the chance to start your run-bys, or you just get 1 aplha from a Dire oder Timber and your game is ruined. Lack of ECM is a nogo for me on lights, and the lack of speed makes it ultra hard to catch an enemy assault or heavy offguard. Maybe with Elite and the engine boost, but otherwise you are doomed to lurk between your friendlys and wait for them to soak up damage yo you can deal out some -which results in average results most of the time. Plus, and thats one of the worst things for me - everyone can keep track on you, as you dont run ECM, which makes runbys even harder. Its great on poptarting on close range. But do you really want ~50 damage spread out like this? Its FUN to play, but I always feel like a wasted opportunity playing this. Still, good build if thats what your aiming for. 4/5
