The Tyfus Build can be build on any of the Jager chassis. It'll fit the A, DD, S and the Firebrand so it is an extremely cost effective across all platforms while grinding the Jagers. Simply take the entire build off one mech and transfer it to another; no need to buy new engines or new weapons. This build is also highly effective. Even post nerf! Primary Configuration This is what I am running. Group #1: Chain Fine the 20s Group #2: Alpha Strike the 20s Group #3: Alpha Strike the Medium Lasers Alternate Configuration The Alternate Config is a PROTOTYPE that I am experimenting with to increase the ammo available as well as add AMS. This is being done in anticipation of 12 mans coming out. This also fits on all the Jagers Using the primary configuration I did this in a PUG drop
In before the nerf!!! This game was played with chain firing my AC20s; the only time I did an Alpha Strike was when the enemy was blinky blinky and about to die so I alpha as my "Flawless Victory" type move. Actually, on two of these kills it was my double medium lasers that finished the enemy off LOL Seriously even with a nerf this thing is going to be deadly. Also, for the record; that was with only BASIC finished. Not a single unlock on ELITE yet. Just sayin.
While the AC/20 has taken a knock (no, really?) with the latest updates. I still want to say that I have had the most kills in the Dual AC/20 Jager, independent of any of the variants. It just works but only if you play the Jager sensibly. Running into the maelstrom of a brawl from the outset will result in you being reduced to scrap before you even fired more than two shots. Sit back, watch out the fight develops and when you see a damaged mech - go in and 'execute' the mech with the dual AC/20. You might not end up with a lot of damage but you should end up with plenty of kills / assists. I usually get between 3-5 kills per game but with a relatively low (as in below 200) in damage. This leads to many accusing me of kill-stealing etc. (SIGH) - can't please everyone can we? So 5/5 from me. MT
The credit all goes to Tyfus, one of the ACES guys. This was one of his earlier builds. While we may not wear the same uniform anymore I still respect the guys skills. Hell of a player.
