Here is a new version I am running as of late and while playing in the mechlab realized I could put in Ferro Fibrous armor. So, I did. Runs quite well specially to give a good wack to any light mechs charging in close range, they learn quickly to run away from the shower of SRMs. While they run you pound them with the lasers and the AC5's. Ac5's work well fromlong range and it has quite a few rounds. The standard engine gives you the minimal heatsinks for a battle and heat is fine since you don't use all the waepons at the same time. Standard engine also allows you to run up close and receive a beating and survive a few hits from a Heavy Mech, Maybe the Ferro Fibrous helps in that situation. Here it is and let me know what you think:
Too little armor on the legs, the arms on a jager are actually relatively small and thus you could take 6 from each arm and put it in each leg. I advise to always have more leg armor combined than CT armor, because if a leg gets opened, ammo explosions and psychological effects will kick in so that people will actively start hunting your legs. Also LRMs would rip them apart. Also too little ammo, especially for the SRMs. 150 is decent for the ACs but SRMs finish in 12.5 salvos which is insanely quick. I'd equip SSRMs anyway because of faulty hit detection on regular SRMs (this would be enough ammo for 4xSSRM because they fire half the amount of missiles). It's a bit slow for a short-range brawler as well, though the STD gives a bit of an edge over XL builds though. But at this speed I could imagine this better with 4xLRM5. 3/5
