1 thing I'd like to see it's clan variety close to IS one.

Timbers over and over gets boring.

    I'd like a 1/1/1/1 limitation

Well to me thats actually a weakness, they don't have much choice - its just those choices are decent (*cough* 3 SCR and 1 TBR *cough*).

3 stormcrows and a Timberwolf is far better.
    NO!
They do that cause not everyone wants to play every class. I don't think 1/1/1/1 restriction is a good thing (although I am having a 1/1/1/1 setup currently)
    .
Plus, you cannot really have 4 Timberwolf. That, and Clan really does not have enough variant to do the mix and match thing IS can.
IS can easily pull off many viable drops that fills even the 240 ton mark perfectly (though I think anything 220+ should be good, unless zerg rush).
It is all reasonable in the end. The problem lies in the CW map design.

Oh, you guys should do the non CW part first, those are fast and easy. You get the same reward for CW ones anyways.

I would go nuts if they forced a 1/1/1/1 setup. I was happily using 3 lights and a medium to start, and now I use 2 lights, 1 med, 1 heavy just to fit in my Dragon. If I had to use an IS assault, my only choices would be a trial mech, an unmastered Victor (the free one we just got), an unmastered Atlas (the free one), or an unmastered King Crab (the preorder one). I enjoy none of those mechs, so I would despise being forced to take them along.

Clan would hurt less since I like my DWF, but even so, I'd rather take my Hellbringers and Stormcrows in duets for a drop deck.

I believe he meant no more than one of each chassis. No Raven 4x for you.

Not how I read it ;) It wouldn't matter anyway...I use Raven/Firestarter/Cicada/Dragon or Raven/Firestarter/Jenner/Cicada as my deck choices. No repeats! But it would still blow to be forced to use specific things...there's a reason my decks are so light, those are literally the best mechs in my collection. While I don't use multiples of the same mech, I could be convinced to do so...if I had to Raven 3L's to take into a match, I could easily do so since they are such capable mechs for me. Same goes for the Ember, Jenner, and Cicada 3M...I'm 10x more dangerous in those than I would be in an Assault mech of any chassis.

Basically, it's my drop deck, as long as I'm within the min/max range for tonnage, I should be able to build it any damn way I want.

I haven't tried Ravens yet but I'm just not happy with my performance in Firestarters for some reason. Haven't tried the small pulse one, but Locusts are just perfect..

Haven't tried one in CW yet.

Firestarters in CW can be hit or miss, mainly because you need to bring them out at just the right moment...preferably when the enemy doesn't have a firing line, and they are softened up a bit, which means you can take advantage of their disorganization to maximize your damage. They are amazing skirmishers if they can weave in and out of combat, but can be burned down fast if your teammates aren't providing a lot of fire to distract the other side.

As with all mechs, I tend to advocate longer range mechs for anything CW, and most FS9's do best inside 400 meters or less.

The masses of Timberwolves and Stormcrows is depressing. As hard as I try, there is no match to those two monsters. And allthough this was obvious from the beginning, it's the thing that starts to annoy me most in CW.

IS vs. IS seems to be pretty fair after the latest patch (with a small edge on the defenders' side) but it's absoulutely doable for the attackers. Clan defenders on the other hand still need to try very hard not to win a match in my view. Same with attacking, those Clan XLs make a huge difference when pushing.

Oh, and cERLLas are very bad boys on Boreal.

You can't have 4 timbers, but you can have 2 timber 1 hellbringer 1 lynx or 3 crows and 1 timber, and I see this over and over and over.

I'd like 1 per chassis max

That may work find for IS, but with Clan, you have a LOT of shitty mechs to bring to the party. There's a reason you don't see many MLX, IFR, or GAR in the mix - they are not good mechs. And unlike IS, they don't have quirks worth mentioning either. The reason you get TBR/SCR/DWF/HBR is because they are the ones worth bringing along.

That's why they should give quirks to the worse clan mechs, instead of forcing anyone to use the same mechs.

I won't play clan side until this is true anyway, you don't have a real choice and playing the same mech every time gets boring fast.

1 of a kind chassis would basically force them to buff weaker chassis (speaking of which, after the quirks it's about time to remove fixed JJs on nova and myst lynx as soon as possible)

MLX, GAR, and IFR all need a hardpoint re-do as well as a quirk pass. Until they have hardpoints worth anything, no amount of quirks could make me want to pilot any of those mechs. Nova is too vulnerable as well, regardless of quirks, so it's an odd man out too.

    You get the point :)

In my opinion they should offer real options among clanners as first priority now. CW is good atm because it's a novelty, but will soon get less interesting if clan will deploy 85% of timbers and scrs.
