    LOL You mean like that Locust-1V in my screenshot who did only 3 dmg and 1 assist, but still survived the entire match? Yeah . . .
    Though I got that match on video, and after looking at it again just now, realized that he was capping the entire time. He hit Theta, then walked up Jenner-alley to Sigma, and was there until we had pretty much already slaughtered their entire team. He only barely got that 3 damage, by landing a shot on the enemy Mist-Lynx as about 6 of us crowded around to kill it.

    So yeah, in this particular case, it was less the pilot's skill that was the problem, so much as his decision to spend the entire match capping . . .

    I think he means that dead 3M in his match with a whole 1 point of damage ;)

    I know. ;) Just funny that I had noticed the same thing in my match . . .

    Oh, and speaking of 1 damage in a Locust . . . how about 1 damage AND 1 kill?! :p

    God, I haven't seen those AH guys in ages. I always wondered if they had anything to do with Achievement Hunter heh...though those guys usually just use their normal gamertags.

    Gotta say theses things are the best KSers ever with 30 alpha, 365m range, short laser duration and 169kph ! sometimes I even do some damage (even tho usually not too much) :happy:

    The thing I always notice about these is how often the Locust is the carry mech of the team...while the assaults are just embarrassing themselves. And I feel strong ;)

    Best Locust ever was the 3M before they quirked the quirks. Spl's with +50% range and +20% cool down. I had my second highest damage ever in that thing. No pic so I won't say the score, but my highest was in Banshee 3E so that says something. Sadly, they changed it and now I really don't know what to do with my poor 3M.

    Sadly, I can't move much past 500 in a Locust and that takes luck as well as skill. Maybe I'll rebuy the 1E and see if I can get to 1000... again;)

    The 3M still works with 5 SPLs, it's just that the 1E does 6 SPLs even better now, so it's a bit lackluster in comparison

    It's my opinion that it got kicked in the nuts with the new quirks. A 20% cooldown and 10% duration bonus and 10% heat reduction just can't make it viable for me. I either go spl's and have terrible range or ml's and have bad heat. I really can't make it work consistently for me anymore, which is sad. It used to be my favorite Locust. It was the mech I'd take to desert island if I could only take one mech...

    3M needs new quirks, that's for sure.

    At the moment it's useless, still went for it as 3rd after the obvious PB and 1E, because it has the hardpoints potential to be good, the others are just too limited by ammo or hardpoints. Of course I didn't touch it past basics, hope it will change.

    Quirks are 1E anything (should be 12,5% generic and 12,5% ML/SPL), PB SL (ok anyone uses ML, but I mean the original idea), so 3M just makes sense to have SPL or ML quirks, after 1E change in favor of one of the 2.

    Agree completely. They should have kept the huge SPL range bonus for it, then it would have been useful and a definite choice between the 1E and 3M

    Yep, the 1E has a higher alpha, higher dps, longer range, and lower heat even with 6 vs 5 weapons. The only thing the 3M has is dual AMS and min/max wise that's pretty worthless. The 1E is better in every way.

    But the big thing for me is the range. With a very short range weapon like spl's a longer range equals a higher alpha and dps so the 1E is even better than it appears on paper and the 3M is even worse.

    Actually, the 3M's biggest advantage as I see it is the 20% Cooldown quirk; the 1E doesn't even have a Cooldown quirk at all, so if fast-firing is a priority for you, the 3M has it. But yes, it is certainly inferior in all other regards.

    Technically, the 1E does have a cooldown with its -25% laser duration.

    I still haven't finished the basic skills for my Locusts yet but they are able to pull great rounds like this.

    But they sometimes give you rounds where you die instantly from a double AC20 King Crab.
