Another mech in the brainstorming stage. This guy has 15 DHS and still is only at 25% heat efficiency! Still, you have a nice set of hard hitting weapons, near max armor, and a good amount of jump jets. Now I think so long as the Large Pulse isn't fired in junction with the ER Large Lasers, the heat should be manageable. Weapon Groups for this mech. 1) AC2 (1+ km Range) 2) ER Large Lasers (Mid-Long to Long Range) 3) SRM and Large Pulse Laser (Short Range) If there is a mouse with more buttons, I'd suggest moving the Large Pulse to its own group, but be very careful about firing the three Larges within .5 seconds of each other. Varient with XL Engine. Sure it tops at .06 armor remaining, but there isn't really much else it could put that tonnage into anyway. Max jump jets, max armor, max speed, max heat dissipation.
I dont even really know where to start with this thing...Id have to say get that damn heat dissipation level MUCH higher. screw the a/c 2, its over-nerfed right now and takes up a fuck ton of weight for little damage output and also sends your heat soaring if ever used. And not only that, you dont really have enough ammo to make it a reliable weapon in the long run anyways. If you feel that you just need that a/c 2, remove the Artemis. I love artemis, but all mechs need heat dissipation more and you are in dire need of that. Artemis is used when you have the weight and space capacity and after everything else is at acceptable-nominal levels. Im assuming the lasers are the main weapon focus here and as such you have to build to make sure that your main weapons can actually perform at their peak. If i had a choice, this is closer to how i would run it. Several changes but you can be much more liberal with your weapon firing, has armor distribution because with this build there shouldnt ever be many people behind you, you now have AMS for survival for you and your team, bigger engine so you go faster, no artemis but the SRMs are not your main weapon. You can downgrade the engine if you like to fit Artemis if you feel the need. Know matter how i did it, the ERLL just used too much heat to be that efficient so i had to downgrade them to get a better overall performance. Also no a/c 2 because with its weight cost and low ammo and massive heat generation it was VERY counter-productive to this build. You only lose a couple points in SRM damage but that will be made up with using less ammo and being able to fire more frequently. Basically, the super high end everything had to be downgraded to actually make this mech a usable build. In the end, you will do more damage through DPS and not straight alphas but you will also last longer to make sure that happens. Maybe ive removed this guy too much from his element but currently how you have your mech built, i wouldnt use it.
Large Pulse Laser really needs to be paired with more damage to make use of its crit potential. Perhaps this might serve as a middle ground. A little less heat efficiency and a slower engine, but it allows for a low heat Gauss rifle, which helps to compensate for the heavy heat from the lasers.
I like this build much better. It seems a far distant cousin, if even that, to what was originally posted but whatever works for you man. Most important thing is the heat. You HAVE to have good efficiency. Idc what mech it is. If i had free reigns to build this guy how i wanted, this is how it would turn out. The gauss and ERPPC are fired together for range and the SRMs plus Mlasers are used together as well for the medium-close range. This guy can now drill holes through anything and scare the shit out of any light or medium that wants to tangle close.
Glad to hear we are making progress. I figured though I'd take it a little closer to the original dream with something like this. Now 30% isn't happy shoot fun times, but the LBX-10 and its crit seeking I think pairs really well with the chain fire pin point damage of the Large Lasers and the spread out damage box of the SRMS. SRM's probe, Large Lasers cut open the weak points, and the LBX rips internals to bits. A solid 1-2-3 combo.
First off, you dont want to alpha the LL due to the new heat rules so you are going to have to chain fire or change one into something else or remove it completely for DHS and more ammo. The 10x is kinda low on ammo. Second, the 10x is a decent gun at best but fun. Maybe if it gets buffed it will have more usage in the game but as it stands its a sub-par weapon. Crit or not the damage gets spread all over. Possibly remove a LL and replace the 10x with the Gauss or possibly a UAC5. Again you are pretty low on heat and a large portion of your weapons produce quite a bit. General rule of thumb: when looking at a Smurfy build you want a 36% cooling efficiency or higher. If its lower you better have cool shot or be extremely disciplined. That large firepower number doesnt really mean a damn thing if you're too hot to fire your weapons. Maybe something like this? Stays in tune with your high firepower numbers, no more changing of your SRMs, higher sustained DPS, 41% cooling efficiency, no laser alpha penalty, and powerful at all ranges.
