So Skribs and I tweaked out the Blue Flame until I got to the "Jade Variant" using LPL and ML to create a fast, in-close energy brawler. But I ended up with an extra ton at the end that bugged me. In the Jade Variant it went into bumping the engine from 350XL to 355XL, but that's not a big bonus. Instead, I cut a bit of armor and one DHS to add a Streak launcher. Since you're going to be keeping your arms on target for a second anyway, might as well use the missile lock to spit out some streaks before you duck behind cover (or when you don't have the time to make full use of your beams when weaving between buildings). Unfortunately, I'm not really a good enough pilot to use it well (I admit, my best games are with LRMS or ECM because I can't aim worth a damn), but I figured there would be some here that would appreciate it.
I only use missiles on one of my Dragon builds, and that's because I'm meant to stay on target with that build. In my laser boats or heavy ballistic builds, I'm doing a lot more potshots and torso turning, so I don't have time to aim the missiles (which have a slightly different lead than ballistics). Streaks are either amazing or completely unusable, depending on ECM coverage, which is why I don't like them unless I have ECM. Personally, I'd have gone 360 XL and dropped the half ton of armor instead of picking up streaks. With all that said, this is a very solid build.
