All credit for the original mech is shrouded in mystery as the Tech responsible requested his name be forever shrouded in mystery. All I did was add some FF and another DHS to his build anyways.
I've been using something similar with pretty decent results: url= Slower, with lighter armor on the legs, but with AMS which sometimes comes in handy at long range. A heat sink could probably be removed to shore up the leg armor if people find it an issue.
I quite like this build. I don't think 33 armour in the legs is too low really. I run with 30 on the legs with some mechs and no one really shoots them anyway. I've honestly never lost a leg, but I haven't played a light mech much.
Could run the gauss ammo in the arm to guard against weapon explosion. Also, aside from weapon height in one PPC, this build works for any Jager. Tried similar with AC/20, 2xPPC. For me, it loses it's fun quick with so little interaction. Just a varied range and very hot AC/40. I can't do the mega alpha out of 2 or 3 weapons. As "Names" pointed out; Cheese. Great build for beginners. I just feel cheap using it. (and now I sound like an elitist jerk)
I'm running a very similar build to this, so I thought I'd post it here instead of starting a new thread. It's super cheesy, but I love sniping with it! I prefer regular PPC over ER and also prefer to run extra heatsinks instead of the larger XL. Although I might experiment with the 300XL to see if I like it any better. I've had a few 6 kill rounds in this and scored a few headshots. I know this build is doable in all Jager chassisses's but I love the high energy hard points on the Firebrand. The extra cbills and cool paint job also help
