Looks like a pr4etty sexy thing tbh. 90 degree twist sucks, but 35 degree pitch is pretty awesome (hunchback has 20-25). Combined with arm-mounted direct fire and the possibility to mount streaks in the less maneuverable torso, I think the SHD-2D2 has a competing light-hunter. The 2d2 still looks much prettier though :X
I will buy this Hero, simply because of the awesome Skin-Artwork and btw it's in MY three prefered Skin-Colors!!! Wow!
With the SRM tweaks, I've noticed I've been getting hit HARD by them. I would probably load this like a jumping kintaro SRM boat. Should be very formidable! However, by inspection, I don't see any advantages over the 2D2 for the "light-hunter" 4xSSRM2 build. - Arm mounted streaks are pointless for streaks because target lock occurs on the arm reticle anyway. Plus, they can be knocked off - Missile tubes mounted lower means decreased ability to shoot overt short obstacles and hills - 5 less tons probably means its probably confined to 2xMLas build instead of 2xLLas
In return you need a smaller engine for the same speed, haven't done the math (And I assume SHD are still superior), but as long as engine ratings above 300 are concerned, they ramp up really quick. XL325 has 4.5 tons over the XL300. And the XL300 only 1.5 over the XL275/XL280.
It really is still... You can run the same build that I posted, same speed, same weapons, but there is more armor on the SHD... Blagg made a build that runs ~10kph faster than the SHD, but again less armor and 1 ton less ammo and slightly less heat efficient.
Can't compete with the epic Shadow Hawk. But if you want Quad Streaks in a 50tonner... well, there is no Alternative atm.
It takes an XL280 to acheive similar speed to a SHD with an XL300, which unfortunately gives 3 less tons to work with. Most likely the Trebuchet will be less heat efficient.
Pardon if I am off-topic, but did ANYONE notice that @ 35 seconds, the Loup takes down... get this... a MAULER??!?!? Note the shark fin on the head and arms that don't match any other chassis. Just saying... EDIT* Or am I just seeing things?
I believe that is a Protector, ON1-P. Anyways, maybe this could make for a mildly decent missile boat. It's got 20 tubes all over.

I find it hard to imagine you can actually use those 20 tubes effectively. If you have this many hardpoints and so little tonnage, it's better to run 2x10 instead, or even 2x10+2x5, which is what I'm planning to do on kintaro's (and already proven in stalkers).
Meh. I love my TBT-7M, but, that's the last Trench Bucket I'll ever Master. There is no reason NOT to run a SHD over this...
As always. PGI/IGP may not know how to make a good game, but they sure can put together a flashy, in-your-face video. Their graphics are pretty much always top-notch. So . . . maybe they should hand over the MWO game to some other producer/developer, and put their efforts into making a good 'MechWarrior film? Something that we can actually get excited about?!
The videos are actually done by a player that was hired by PGI Go figure that their own team couldn't handle it.
My feel on this. Yes this is like a smaller 2D2 without the Ballistics. IT generally have the same speed with a slightly smaller engine, but it does have a smaller profile, which can be useful. I notice that if you use SRM4 build then the arm mounted tubes are more useful. Yes, on average I would still go for a 2D2. although this one can do 4x SRM6.
