I've been playing Grasshoppers a lot lately. So naturally, I thought of this build. It's heavier, slower, hotter, doesn't jump or twist as well. It is also better-ranged with moar raw damage while being better-armored.

Yes, this could possibly be done assymmetrically. This build allows close to full armor anyway, so it packs several of the extra cDHS in the arms, along with four lasers on each side for right/left-sided shortish range poking. The torso mounts give a little high peeking ability, but mostly are there in case the arms actually blow off before the CT gets cored out.

I run 5 groups of wubsy weaonry fun: the rights, the lefts, the torsoes, the arms, and all the lasers on chain. Gets several 4-laser volleys off before going to chain.

Most stuff lighter than an assault wubs down pretty handily if caught flat-footed. Lights are too quick to chase unless an opportunity presents itself. However, IS mediums or XL IS heavies seem to be prime targets. They're often not fast enough to escape quickly enough, and lack the armor in critical areas to resist the wubstorm you're about to unleash.

Loose some armor for an additional DHS. From my experience with the Executioners so far this thing probably requires elite skills to work properly.

    Makes sense.

I thought I had a TC on the OP build, but I guess I prioritized another heatsink over the bonuses. I'm probably okay making that trade considering how much it needs the heatsinks.

I considered dropping armor of another heatsink. Srsly. I really did. Cooling's important, yo.

    2 things stopped me:
    1. Generally: Too many comp matches and CW matches last year getting legs focused (literally left and right). Makes me reluctant to drop leg armor on a lot of builds, regardless of where the PUG-grinding meta, comp meta, or the "meta" meta are.
    2. Specific to this mech: MASC and JJs. Because of how many different ways there are to damage the legs on one of these, I didn't want to give up much more protection than absolutely necessary. The move to one more DHS, in exchange for one AC20 or a couple PPC's worth of longevity on each leg, was (ahem) a step too far for me ;)

I agree on the elites. These things run crazy hot with lasers only. Hotter until the double-basics kick in.
