Soy I'm interested in your video, I didn't thought someone would try it on a heavy mech.

You might think I'm crazy, but I'm starting to enjoy playing with this armorless build and I think I will still playing it even after the end of the challenge (not every drop, but once in a while). I actually bought a second SDR-5D!

Lol it's not a really a great round cuz I dropped cold [first attempt, only played a few 4 man rounds earlier in the day] and missed a lot and only warmed up near the end, but, if you play right in regards to positioning and have a decent team handling other business... armor sometimes doesn't even matter.

Plus I'm just basically cheesing.

I only got shot 1 time by an enemy, haha!

I'll have vid up in an hour or something, think I'll post it as troll bait on official forums under a title like 'armor is overrated'

Why the ER Large Laser and not the ER PPC?

Cause if my arm gets blown off I can still shoot something.

Ran my first shot at this. I forgot to lower the ammo from my normal load out to my no armor load out, to be replaced with DHS. You can see what happens when I get winged about %25 of the way in. I'll fix it and give it another whirl later. I got 2 kills and 5 assists, so close!!!

Also Fraps won't drop into a match running. So I recorded the mechlab with the build, stopped it, dropped, then started it again. I also have to stop it before I exit the match or it crashes MWO there too. Soon as the videos finish uploading. You can also see It took me a little bit to get used to driving again as I'm way rusty.

I don't have a Jagermech (or 10mil c-bills), so I can't run this build. However, I was inspired.

The central conceit here is that you cannot avoid damage, but you can mitigate it. So, I've built dual personality Jager. You can lose either side and still be functional (somewhat), you can lose both and still keep kicking. You can have ammo cook off and still live.

If you want to ditch BAP (and risk ECM cheese), you can upgrade the engine to a 305; however, I think the 300 w/ BAP is the better option.

Use something like handbrake to encode it to something like H.264 then it'll only take 1/2 an hour

 

Yeah there is Windows Movie Maker and Sony Vegas and a ton of other programs that allow you to encode it in different formats.

Don't worry about FRAPsing the Mechlab. Just keep a screenshot of it so we can all see the mech that was used. We can tell in the video whether or not your mech had armor as the 0 value gives your paperdoll a black outline.

Yeah. I don't even know which guy I missed. Probably one of the ones in the begining when I was losing LRM lock a lot.
