I noticed and read in the patch notes that they upped the weight and prices of XL engines. Did they change how many heat sinks the engines account for? I'm trying to find out because I'm wanting to make sure the heat sink counts on the old PDFs from Ohmwrecker are still good so I can still look at weight:heat sink. I searched forums and didn't notice there were any updated cheat sheets, so I'm sorry if there are and I just didn't happen to find them.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Are you talking about the current patch or a future upcoming on?

The engines still hold heat sinks (number depends on engine size) but they have also made it so that you can install extra heat sinks in your engine; again the number depends on the size of the engine.

Im not sure how out of date ohmwreckers data sheets are because he hasn't come here to post them. The last I heard Lazn said they were out of date but that was a week or so ago. He may have updated them?

    Couple things.

All engines require a minimum of 10 heat sinks in the mech in order to function

How many heat sinks can fit inside the engine is determined by dividing it's rating by 25 and rounding down to the nearest whole number

If your engine is 245 or smaller, it fits less than 10 heat sinks inside the engine, so at a minimum, you must manually place, outside the engine, however many heat sinks it takes to have a total of 10(these would be weightless, but the weight is removed from the engine instead of the heat sinks in MWO, giving the same result), add more after that if you so desire.

If your engine is 275 or larger, it can fit more than 10 heat sinks inside the engine, but only comes with 10 to start with. Each heat sink you add to the engine costs 1 ton of weight.
