I've had a couple of games where I have top kills and close to top damage but not top match score. Makes me wonder about how match score is determined. Photo of recent match shows me with 4 kills and 6 assists but I am third in match score.
There could be a lot of things pushing the scores in their favor, such as having more Most Damage Done, more component destruction, more Spotting Assists, and so on. A lot of untracked things (as far as that scoreboard) go on to affect the match score number.
Yes, know that I've thought about it more I played a third of the match and died. That right there is probably the reason for a lower score.
Check the "player stats" tab in the scoreboard and you will see what generates XP/Credits the matchscore is based on those things.
My understanding is that Assists, Spots, and Component Destruction are valued higher than kills, but, there's so many modifiers that go into it and the list keeps growing.
Everything I've seen shows raw damage as massively outweighing anything else. I had a match yesterday when my Gar-C (Gauss and 6 ERSL) got 5 kills 5 assists and turned it around totally for us. Amusingly their 3 LRM boats got massively higher score (+30-40) despite almost no kills and just having very high raw damage, compared to my precision damage.
Damage is big obviously. Assist and comp damage. That, and spotting. All of which means lrm boat get to recieve match score easily.
I think i read about destroyed components having a pretty huge influence. And the other factors in the left results tab as SirHitman mentioned above. I have a little chart with my personal "top games" to find out what chassis is most effective for me. Highest match score ever was 174 in a CDA-3M with only 4 kills and 7 assists, but 1037 damage, 12 components + turret kills, dropping UAV, Hit & Run, Brawling, Arty etc. I think it is the mixture regarding match score, kills and assists alone don't weigh too much i think. And yes, i liked the money and xp very much
