Hmm...if you hook up an ammotender,this thing maybe will work.

 

I guess you'd need 12 shots to make it "viable."

 

Not nearly enough ammo for this to be functional.
Tried it, does not work in combat.

Maybe if you can get your friend to pilot an urbanmech moving behind you holding all your ammo.

 

I almost want to try it. Imagine this little bastard camping the tunnel in Forest Colony...

EDIT: [member=3228]Solahma[/member] comment (the post below) made me think it twice. I think this should be runneable. 4 cERMLas are a nice backup and the ammo is 9 tons, so 3 tons/gun, enough to involve in long fights:

 

Tried 4 with a macro that will cycle through them all in a chain fire, then double tap them before the cooldown finishes. Works alright. It's still very hot, but at least you can put out Max DPS. The ammo runs dry very fast as well.
