This was the first setup I ran with this mech, and boy did it work, Got 848 dam first time running this long range sniping build(see below for screenshot). It averages 400-500dam for me and I'm not a good player. The logic behind this build was to take advantage of the slowness of the DireWolf and that you cant change the engine so its stuck at moving at a snails pace. At range the combo of twin PPC's and Gauss shreds any mech that doesn't immediately dive back into cover, and the 4ml do a ok job at close in defense. Advanced zoom is a must for this mech as it allows you to target specific parts of enemy mechs to maximize your sniper alpha. Feel Free to comment, Also somehow this ended up one level above where it should have gone, probably needs to be moved
I suppose it does reflect many of the other builds, though I built this one in my head weeks ago, I felt it was different enough to post since I strongly believe backup weapons are essential, hence the 4 ML
First off.... I'm baaaaaack. I love the meta of the dual ERPPC and Dual Gauss, the only problem I had with it is it lacked the holy crap where did he come from close in support as well as the versatility (shots you dont want to risk a gauss shot at or if heats too high for ERPPC you can still pop the 4 MLs into them for some hey dont forget about ME damage). First game after being gone nearly a year I racked up over 900 damage with it and never had to worry about cool downs. Get close? Gauss and 4xML with the occasional ERPPC. Long range fire Gauss and both ERPPC simultaneously for a massive amount of pinpoint damage. Don't worry about the cooling...yes thats coming from me. It plays much cooler than you think due to the fact when they get in your face where ERPPC and Gauss are difficult to use, you revert to 4xMLs with ERPPC/Gauss when appropriate. I have yet to shut down in this mech.
Won't let you add them with this build That said, I took it for a ride, and after getting used to it...well... Let's just say it can clean house. Though I almost want to remove the ERMLs and replace them with ERSLs, just to add some heat sinks. May give that a shot sometime soon.
Hmmm, Good efficiency as long as you use the cERPPCs and cERMLs separately, probably not worth it to exchange those for lots and lots of heat sinks. And I thought this build couldn't get any more annoying >.> Seriously though, the heaviest slowest mech that should take damage for the team stays behind to one-shot all the armor of my fun happy medium brawler. (I'm not a fan of the meta).
