All around mid to long range death raining machine.

Side note this is my first post been lurking around for a while and find this site critical when I consider new things out. Thanks to the guys who put these tools together and moderate, you rock.

Here is something I worked on given some suggestions.

A C-BAP wouldn't be a bad addition to this mech, especially since many light mechs have ECM these days.
That, and an AMS might be after the C-BAP.
    Also, Welcome to the Forum!

Thanks for the welcome, and yeah seeing the possible Kit Fox builds all having ecm... yeah that C-BAP I could really see.

I think if I play this I'd want a friend on a dedicated AMS Kit Fox with ECM to help protect me. But yeah I'll play around with that and see what I get.

Insane amount of weapons and damage potential. This may be a contender in most murderous mechs hall of fame. :phear:

I will run this with CAP and Tag, in a lance of mates. One ECM Kit Fox, cpl of T Wolves or a Narcing Kit Fox. Massacre cometh.

    Firstly, welcome to the community.

I like the idea here. Allow me to do some min/maxing for you.

For starters, that is a gargantuan amount of ammo you have there. 58.4 volleys, dang. Unfortunately the right-torso is almost guaranteed to explode against ballistics. Here is my solution:

First thing's first, replace the arms with the dwf-a right arm and the dwf-b left arm. The prime's arms give a 7.5% penalty to energy weapon cooldown, so switching to arms that only give a 5% penalty will increase your DPS a bit.

In my opinion, it's going to be a little hard to keep track of all the medium lasers and large lasers on that thing, especially considering you can't fire more than two large lasers at a time. To help with that, I removed two LLas and replaced the other two with Pulse LLas. This gives you the predicament of having to deal with more tonnage, though, so I upgraded all of the MLas to Pulse MLas. You will be missing out on some potential burst damage, but I don't think you'd be able to manage the heat it would produce anyways.

Then is the issue with that explosive right torso. To deal with that, I replaced one of the LRM 20's with an LRM 15 and gave the mech artemis. As far as I can tell, artemis is a must-have with all clan mechs. With the increased locking time and flurried volley, you don't want to waste a single missile you fire, so make all of your missiles fired hit with artemis.

Now how does this solve your explosion problem? You don't need as many missiles. Taking out two tonnes of ammo with an LRM 20 and 15 will leave you with 56.6 volleys of missiles. Not a huge change from the previous 58.4 volleys. Also, to assist in the min/max process, remove the DHS in the leg. This leaves two slots you can move from that right torso, and now you only have 4 tonnes of ammo left in there. Much lower risk of exploding.

You should be left with 4 slots and 4 tonnes of space remaining. Use one of those slots and tonnes on a Clan Active Probe to prevent ECM from being a problem. This leaves 3 tonnes and 3 spaces. Now, you can shove more ammo into it, or you can circumvent the explodiness and shove in a targeting comp. MK III. This will extend the range of your lasers.

I wrote quite the essay didn't I... I do that sometimes. Oh well, I hope I helped. Remember to try and use all of your mech's weight, don't just leave a tonne sitting around.

I like the suggestions you gave there BindMind, and I'm happy others see the potential in this build and setup even if I didn't have the most optimized setup posted.

If anyone does use this as a base model I'd really like to see some nice screen shots, showing their wake of death and destruction.
