Do remember that Japanese and Chinese are closely related, many words are the same (when using kanji, at least).

Yeah, they definitely used Shen Long as the inspiration for the DBZ character. In-fact I believe that he was officially called Shenlong in the manga, but in the anime they changed the spelling to Shenron. Might have simply been a mistake, but he will always be known as Shenron to me!

Just curious, since I kinda want to pick one of these up, you getting better results from group firing the acs, or chain firing?

well! considering the cooldown after quirks and modules and fast-fire is ~.5 there is absolutely NO benefit from firing in chain fire. You could bind them to 2 separate fire groups and fire them off-set so you have shots hitting your opponent more often making for good screen shake.

personally I just group fire them.

    Group!

This mech feels a bit dirty tbh its so effective and I've mostly stopped using it to keep experimenting with other mechs. Nothing like slaughtering a short range specialist TDR/AS7-S/Banshee etc and not having any overly serious damage as they panicked or tried to shield themselves. Its very hard to aim with dual AC5 rounds hammering around your cockpit so fast.

Or beating another 1N in this fit ... thats the "I rock" moment. ;)

Edit: That means in a duel not when you manage to pile on damage before they know you're there!

It becomes a personal goal to defeat the other 1N. Whoever can blow off the others arm first is the victor! This build is truly scary when it can use its *faster* heavy speed to flank a team, killing several mechs and having a HUGE impact on the game before they even know what happened. You can core a poor light/medium in a blink of an eye if they are not paying attention, or better yet from behind.

Having an absolute blast with this build over the tournement weekend, Only I went with 2 ML and have 9 and 1/2 tons ammo. Strangely enough no one remembered how to deal with a Dragon and did not shot my right arm off.

Why this mech is good - insane consistency... this was my 4 matches just before dinner and the patch:

    A tidy 20 kills, 18 assists, 1,181,547 C-Bills and 18,564 xp.... in 4 matches.

It may not have the survivability of the FS9 or TBR but boy can it do damage.

    5/5,
This thing is still a beast, even after the quirk nerf to it. The ERLLas is a little hotter than before sure but it is manageable; as long as you manage it and don't let it manage you.

I'm wondering if there is a better energy combination now ththat the ERLL quirks were straight replaced with general energy quirks...

I dunno, I now have this mech mastered and I run it with AC5 range and AC5 cooldown and that is it (well Arty and UAV too) But I think I still have like 2 Mech slots open and 1 Mech/Weapon combo slot open.

I run arty and cooldown or uav for consumables, radar and improved gyro's for mech. AC 5 range/cooldown and ERLL range for weapon.

Struggling to decide if I should change to ML as support as the ERLL lost so much of its bonus. If I run multiple copies for CW I'll have 1 with ERLL range and 1 with ML range (2 ML and 3 tons extra AC5 ammo).

@Fherot - dropping to LL is a bad move imo as the ERLL was used for left side shoulder peeping and long range where you didn't want to waste ammo or alert your target. Heat wasn't the problem as you rarely fired all your weaponry at once. One advantage of going ML is that you could do just that if you get sucked into brawling range.

Well not unless I buy them but my plan was always to do 2 pairs. Its why I keep grinding c-bills.... ;)

Crazy ammo variant, made for Community Warfare. Two of these beasts make the backbone of my drop decks, never failed me.

11 tons of ammo, because I can.
And because I was tired of running out when my mech is still perfectly healthy:

Medium lasers and a larger engine might be the best choice for CW, forces you to get in close after your ammo is gone. MLas are more effective at closer range than a single ERLL. Also increases your chances of getting damaged/detroyed so you can spawn in the next one. Might keep a ERLL version as a last mech choice for the range survivability though. Can't wait to use them in CW! Haven't been able to play yet.

6kph faster, 1 ton more ammo, 1/2 ton more armor.

The point of MLas over ERLLas is not really the combat efficiency, but the 3 saved tons. Because to be honest I like how the ERLLas allows you to poke at distance, and how it's still fully effective at mid-range, where is your comfort zone.

edit: when I'm out of ammo I don't see the point of continuing with the lasers only (except if it's very close), I just rush, try to break their cohesion, drop an UAV and be their punching-ball for as long as I ca
    n

From the games I played, the more time is going, the closer the range of engagement. At the end it's almost always a charge to the generator.
So I'd pick the close range for the end, and the long range for the beginning.
