This is my take off of the old Warhawk (Masakari). I know it is supposed to be in an Assault Chassis but the dragon looked better than the atlas and was a lot cheaper too. Basically with this build you are a damage/support mech. You can take a beating with the Dragon Chassis but it is best if you stay back a bit and liberally apply the damage from your PPC's at the target. Since I started using this mech, I've been regularly pulling 500-600 damage per match. The 4x PPC's do a very good job. Your alpha is higher than a Gausscat but you have to be miserly with the alpha strikes as two back-to-back will shut you down. I have this set to two groups. The first group is my alpha strike. Group two is the two PPCs on the arm chained. This gives a reliable aimpoint and low heat when going after faster mechs or punching through a weak spot of armor. Using just the second group and single shooting, you can keep the heat down and manageable for the entire match. The Alpha strike is great for long range or for picking off an already damaged mech. I have tried the build with two ERPPC's in the arm but it was just too much heat. One alpha put me up at 92% heat and the low heatsink count means a long wait between shots.
Just another note to this. Once I upgraded to the XL 300 engine, the heat efficiency went up to 0.87. Also, the extra speed definitely is a bonus to this mech. Really fun to play and a big surprise to anyone who comes across you.
My big issue with this build is the minimum range on PPCs. Take this build against a Spider 5K who only has 4 machine guns, and he'll probably kill you before you kill him. I've done a lot of damage to a 4-PPC stalker on my 5K with that build.
