I left my 3 ER PPC/LRM10/LRM5/2Mgun build behind and tried out something similar to stock. Much easier for heat management, and it still packs a punch. Doing very well with this build. I like the LRM's better than SRM packs because I find in close range brawl I'm using the Gauss/Mlaser combo and forgetting I even had missiles. So for my play style, LRM10 works much better.

I know its usually better to go with 2 tons of LRM ammo, but I found I was running out of Gauss to quickly, and I still have LRM's left over after a match with only one ton.

Very fun mech. Victor is becoming my new favorite. Been a long time since I liked piloting a mech this much.

This is pretty much identical to mine (With some slight differences) Therefore I like it.

If you just want more ammo like you were saying in your post I would drop a jump jet for it. I don't know if there are problems still with jump jets or not but I don't see any real difference between 2 jump jets or 4 (and definitely not between 2 and 3 in this case). I can still get up the canyon walls on the Canyon map with just 2 so IMO they work fine.

If I were running the XL 330 like you I would probably do this:
