I played 12v12 on the test server today, and damn, I had an absolute blast, being focused by 12 mechs is not so much fun, but the gameplay is good. So, what I want to know, is do you like 12v12? So far, it is only available on the test server. http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/126340-public-test-schedule-july/
This link will tell all you need to know about it. Moonsword, could be worth including it on your first post? http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/126340-public-test-schedule-july/
I don't see why I would not like it. More mech more fun, no? But I felt we all need to get to the new (upcoming) team size. It was kind of random, not a lot of plan, mechs everywhere, die die die, oh my god how many are they?
By the way, did you experienced a drop of framerate? Mine was barely affected (more by the video recorder than by the increased team size), I had drops when encountering a lots of mechs, not not really more than in 8v8. But someone on the server said his was 30% lower, another 15%. How about you? However, but I don't know if it's the test server itself or the team size, out of 6 launches I had 2 crashes at the start. Just for history books, here's my first 12v12 launch. Controls were not fully remapped, that's why I zoom when I want to stop and I can't find the override. But it was a nice game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc06YUGsQD8 (of 16 players I was the only light, how can it be?)
Yes, I experienced Framerate drop throughout the whole game. Even my Mechlab Framerate has diminished. But that's the point. Submit the Feedback Form so they can see we are having the issue. of 16 players: Funny, I stated the same thing in another post I wrote today. Seeing as yesterday was the first session of the PTS, it's really impossible to assess the 12 vs. 12 gameplay. A lot of players are running builds they can't afford or don't want to spend the MC on. They are testing their 'Mechs and their builds, not the potential of a 12-man. If 3 random 4-man groups sync into a match together and fail to use the in-game Command, it becomes utter mayhem. Survival of the fittest is what it boils down to. I am however looking forward to reworking our knowledge of all the maps, to now utilize a 3rd lance. Should be some challenging game play in store for us all.
