Played 4 matches so far, and I'm 4 and 0 in this thing. (6 kills, 2 deaths. In each death, I was able to deal enough dmg to enough Mechs before I died that my team easily mopped up.) With Elite XPs, and a Cool Shot 9 module, this Mech runs pretty cool. You can several full alphas without worrying about heat, and when the heat gets too bad, just rely on the Gauss +MLas for a few seconds. It's important to keep your right torso away from enemy fire to protect your Gauss Rifle, but as long as you stay near allies, that's not too much of a hassle. And between the Gauss Rifle and the LLas, you have pretty good mid-to-long range ability. Last match, in Frozen City, I took out a Dragon who was also sporting a gauss rifle. He kept popping his head over a hill, and trying to gauss me, but he'd shoot the hill, because his arm was too low, and I'd dump 2LLas into his head. After a few rounds of that, he tried to rush me and I wasted him easily. The K2's Arms come in handy for LLas sniping over hills. I play this as a sniper for the first part of a match, and then transition into a second-line brawler, behind my Assaults, picking off targets as I can. Can someone fix the capital "A" in my thread title, it's bugging me
I use this build in a slightly different variant (armor in arms and torso) and just had my best match. Stay behind assault mechs of your team and support whenever you can, watch your torso and dont waste gauss on lights, except if you are going for a headshot.
