The philosophy behind this mech is its more of a team player. With its sensors it can give its company mates enhanced radar range, and can give decent harassing fire from beyond visual range.

The good thing about this mech is that with 3 Large Pulsers you cant call it a pure missle boat by any means. It should be enough to take down mechs softened up by the LRMs.

Admittedly your weakness is the XL engine but the mech was never designed to be a frontliner anyway. Using the 3 LPLs without Eliting the mech will also generate a lot of heat fast. Downgrading to 3 Large Lasers is also an option.

Edited both the thread title and the smurfy link for you. Please refer to the FAQs how to properly post and name a build thread.

    Nevertheless, welcome to MechSpecs!

Besides the formalities, there are several issues about your build:

    1) It's hot. There will certainly be situations where you feel the urge to fire the lasers together with the LRMs, but this will get you close to overheating quickly. I'd rather go with 3 standard LL and add more DHS.

    2) Don't be too ballsy with your leg armor. Every semi-competent light or medium pilot will give those a quick check when close up.

    3) Try not to store ammo in your legs. You'll regret that quickly, especially when considering 2).

    4) Use DHS for crit padding where possible.

I tried to optimize your build a bit while keeping the original spirit of it. It's still borderline hot, but well... that's what you get with all those weapons.

    Hi, Aylek.

Thanks for the help. Getting the link right was real hard for me.

    About your comments.

    1. The heat with both weapon groups firing is prohibitive if you are salvoing the LRM5s. When on chain fire its doable for 2 LPL salvos, no more. But I do recognize 3 LLs may be the way to go.

    2. I am a career assault pilot, and I notice that medium and light pilots almost always prefer to go for back armor over legs. Experience shows that I almost never get legged before I die. Maybe I just die too fast?

    3. The crit padding is noted. I am just too used to the old days when internal DHS used to give heat dissipation bonuses.

    Thanks
