Okay in 20 years + of FPS and MMOs I have finally found the bug that makes me want to choke on a fork. The bugged mouse cursor in battle. There is nothing more annoying than when you are trying like hell to fight and there is this manic cursor flying all over and sometimes even OFF of your screen causing you to tab out of the game in the middle of trying to save yourself from a light. Imagine your arm cursor going one way, your center crosshair the other and on top of that you have your mouse cursor lol ug. I have no idea how they can fix that bug but if I had my say I would drop everything and put my whole staff on it lol (not really). Whats YOUR most annoying bug ever.
Yeah that IS pretty annoying. I always have to restart the client when that happens. One of the biggest bugs that bothered me was all the building textures missing on Frozen City. When that map was in high rotation and that bug was persistent it was annoying as all hell and made the game look very very amateurish.
The cursor bug is very annoying indeed. I heard it mostly happens when you alt-tab at during the launch and loading screen. But the most annoying is when the game simply freeze. I often got that lately. Sometime I'm able to make it work again by alt-tab or ctrl-alt-del and returning to the game window, but sometime nothing works and my only option is to kill the process...
man im just glad it wasnt only me. About 1 in 4 games the game freezes with the same potential ways of fixing it...or not.
Same for me about once every ten games. Opening Task Manager usually snaps the game back. However, even if you're quick, you still lose a few seconds to open and close Task Manager...
Most annoying bug for me shooting a stationary mech with ballistics weapons (at any range), and not registering a hit. I'm still getting this every once in a while. Nothing is more irritating to me than that.
My Favourite bug? esp annoying when you are in a light: you seem to get caught ( often by a bit if terrain ) in a 1-2 second loop. Worse still sometimes when this resolved you are where should would have been had the loop not occured. I've died in a spider a couple of times due to trying to jump in the arena at the centre of terra therma, looping back then finding myself falling into the lava.... insta-death ftw....
Most annoying bug for me? THAT I F***ING GET STUCK SOMEWHERE!!! Most times on some Boxes. I don't know why, but nothing helps, no Jumpjets, no Reverse, no Nothing works. I GET SOOO PI**ED EVERYTIME!!! While everybody's going to hunt down the enemies, i got stuck somewhere, abandoned from my mates and waiting to be shot dead from some damn lucky Lights. e.g. here on Mordor: THIS BUG IS THE MOST ANNOYING, MORE ANNOYING THAN 1. TO GET SOME MOUSECURSOR ON YOUR SCREEN OR 2. A FREEZE! In 1. you can at least keep on playing the match, in 2. you at least dont have to/cant watch how you get killed by some pesky Lights, while not being able to get away or defend yourself. Ok, there was one time where this bug really made me laugh alot. During a match I got stuck with my LRM.Cat on a Tower on Frozen City so that all of the enemyteam could see me and then really every SoB of them focus-shot at me. Really Masses of Missiles rained upon me! And Laserbeams nonstop.. and PPCs.Strikes... OMG! My Cockpit was soo nonstop shaken, i couldnt see anything. But you know what made me laugh during that match? ---> I was invulnerable!!! Really, i didnt get any damage. I just let them shoot at me and as far as i could target, i fired back with my missiles. And while all of them MFs concentrated Fire on me, my Teammates could kill one by one of them. They were so concentrated at me. How did they not realize that i was invulnerable?? Well, I had the best fun in my whole MWO.History.
The cursor bug for me. I've found that it happens when I alt+tab out and then use the desktop cursor to click on the task bar button back into the game. Alt+tabbing back to the game seems to prevent this from happening, though it's been a hard habit to break as I run a lot of windows on my work computers... lol
my screen bugged and a dark square blocked 1/4 of my screen and I'm lucky because it only happened once I thought it would be forever
