Should have been just a Summoner and Timberwolf like the start of MW3. Would have been an awesome opportunity to include a through-back for people who have been playing for a long time.

I believe they were trying to recreate the actual first encounter with the Clans on "The Rock". The problem is, I don't see a single Timberwolf and I KNOW that there was one there because Vlad was piloting it and had been fighting engagements prior to the capture of Phelan Kell.
I'm just excited to jump into the test server tomorrow and defend Combine space! We'll see how it all goes, and yea, there was a MadCat on the Rock, if I recall, I think that's where the computer was switching between marauder and catapult, or perhaps it was from the recording of that battle. Too bad they couldn't have acted it out, or actually showed the IS getting rolled over by the clans. I am interested in the different colors of lasers though. Now we can have rainbow laser shower time.

Decent video as far as PGI-made videos go. You're right they tried to recreate the Rock since it showed two teams fighting each other while the clan lights watched and failed by not having the madcat come across. Or at least end the video by showing the madcat standing there in profile, looking on the clan vs IS fight, and then torso twisting to face the camera. I swear to god, pgi has zero sense when it comes to hype-building. I still think they should have intro'd it starting this weekend (or even months ago) by getting the top 4 teams still left in the game and after a day or two of internal practice having the MM let them run 12's against whatever teams the MM threw together for their opponents. 1 for each clan and they'd log in to fake name'd accounts (ie, not , but Star Colonel blah blah). Would have been epic and created actual positive comments on their forum and reddit.

I think the last second of film, before they go to text, is actually a Mad Cat. We see it from below, firing both arms and the pods. Anyone else agree?
I agree, didn't notice it the first few viewings, but when someone pointed it out on the official MWO website, I took a closer look. I'm no clan pro, but from my DC training, I'd guess a MadCat.
Eh? Who said hide? Reason? Not making sense. As to why there's only a seconds worth of the Cat, I don't know. Anyones guess.
I don't think any one is hiding. It is a teaser, I would suspect that the actual trailer will be much longer and have more mechs/combat in it.
Just wasn't impressed by this one tbh. Makes more sense now someone mentions the Rock though. :blush:
here's the ngng madcat teaser. I like the blue hud look and crosshair change. Also the missile having white/blue propellant/heat/whatever is a nice touch. And dat uac10 firing 3 (or 2 at it looks later in the video?) shells instead of 1 makes for a cool sound/visual effect at least.
