Debating the possibility of putting a big XL in here, like a 380 or 390 instead of the standard. So far, not sure exactly how I feel about this build. Pros about the build: Firepower is split along the sides so if you lose a torso, you don't lose a majority of the firepower. It takes advantage of the most useful quirks for the BLR-1G, but still has the capability to fight at range. Synched velocity on the arm weapons for pinpoint. PPC minimum range is meaningless, since the AC/10 and Medium Lasers are also there. Cons: Still somewhat slow for a 'Mech that needs to get in close for most of its damage. Hot, even with the energy heat generation cooldowns. Weapons on arms are low slung, making terrain an issue. (I had several shots I thought were good, but derfed into the edge because of this.) Long range weaponry are on either side of the mech, forcing a full presentation to use both at once. Don Zappo suggested moving the PPC to the same side torso as the AC/10, and shaving some right armor and leg armor off for another sink. Speaking of which, did I mention this Mech runs hot? So... I don't know. I've dropped twice in it. First time was rather lackluster - only scoring about 300 damage. But that was likely due to piloting skill error. Second time was 640. Could have been more if I had not wasted heat on PPC shots that derfed into the cliff edge on the Bog's C4 hill... So, going to drop this a few more times. Update... uh... eventually.
