BLR-1D (XL 340) The 3 AC2s and the PPC really rack up the damage. You may not get kills with this one, but you'll certainly help your team, and get assists. The long range damage is incredible, as you have the ammo to spare if you miss a couple times. The 340 engine will help you get to sniping positions decently fast. Since you're a long range sniper, you won't suffer too much from the XL unless you get into a bad position. The Medium lasers won't keep a light pack off of you, since they're in your torso, but they can help. I have the AC2s on group 1, the PPC on group 2, and the Medium lasers on groups 3 and 4. group 4 is set to chain fire. I also run with advanced zoom and advanced seismic for modules (not mastered yet). I am Dorian Corona in the image below. First time posting a build on the forums.
I've been running this build on the BLR-1D for a month or so now and have had a great time with it. I like that it's got great long range and solid short-to-mid range capability. The PPC and triple AC2s can really dish out dmg from long-medium range, while the 4 MLas (and the 3 AC2s if you have the twitch) can do solid dmg at short-to-medium range. I typically start the fight at the back of the team and snipe a bit before wading in during the latter half of the fight and I find this big boy can really clean up when played well. Here are a few examples of what this puppy can do: Match score 151, 5 kills, 2 assists, 1196 dmg Match score 102, 4 kills, 5 assists, 717 dmg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af35/Hordedog/BLR-1D4n6717dmg.jpg[/img] Match score 80, 4 kills, 5 assists, 411 dmg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af35/Hordedog/BLR-1D4n5411dmg.jpg[/img] Even when only doing 411dmg, this mech can wade in and finish off the wounded with those 4MLas and a healthy smattering of triple AC3s to shake things up. I give this build 5 Stars for versatility, damage capability and survivability.
