BLR-1D I looked over the other 3 ac2 Battlemasters and didn't see anything truly like what I got going on here, so I figured I would show you what I came up with, then explain why. As you see the core of it is pretty standard, it's built around 3 ac2's and the obscene amount of dakka they put out. That hasn't changed, and is pretty elementary. Now let me discuss what is different. First, no ENDO steel. This allows you to put the obscene amount of heat sinks required to really lay out a continuous stream of DPS. When you are running a DPS build the sustainability is the most important factor next to the actual DPS. When it comes to 3 ac2s the biggest problem you run in to is the heat. With 20 DHS you can fire all three in a constant stream for around 28 seconds standing still. That's with no efficiencies unlocked. At the basic level you actually start to approach heat neutral with just the auto cannons. Second I went with an XL. This really isn't that uncommon for the dakka build as I've seen them both ways. However for this one it is pretty needed to keep up a decent speed and still save the weight needed for everything. Third I added a large laser in the other arm weapon, but only one large laser. This weapon is mainly used to tack on some extra burst damage to large slow targets, or to scorch lights with. Fourth the only other weapon system is the double medium lasers. These are put both on the same torso, the side with the large laser. These are there for two reasons. One it allows you to poke out of the right side of cover and take energy shots when you can't go left side to get your dakka arm out. And two it allows you some ability to shoot over a ridge. Finally you can again use them to add some extra burst damage to take down a large slow target. Finally at 525 rounds of ammo you shouldn't be worried about just laying the bullet heat down at each and everything you might be able to hit. Now here are the negatives of the mech: It has an XL engine so it can be focused out to a side torso, fortunately not all 3 ac2 Battlemasters have XLs so it isn't a sure fire target and therefor pilots will sometimes instead try to focus your CT down. Being it is DPS focused it can have serious issues with targets that are highly maneuverable. If you're moving to fast and unpredictably it can be difficult to consistently make full advantage of the DPS. No Jump jets mean limited maneuverability. In comparison to my Dakka Victor there has been some HUGE issues with being able to position and reposition effectively. Enjoy!
...and if you hate XLs on the Battlemaster you can go for the STD300: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=119&l=78340726dbc95e94a4f3b8006424832e79e8ab12
Hmmm, superdakka builds on the BLRs don't really work for me. If you got it to work thats great however! Have you considered just running ERLL and more heatsinks turning it into a super big long range threat? AC2s are a bit low for sniping position of course, but any torso mounted lasers are bound to make you smile as if you were in a stalker. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=119&l=f234ee029c87a396841d063f50c90d13a8715df4
I tried running multiple LLs with it and it didn't work for me. Just to hot. I find the dakka fun, but I think the victor build I run does it better.
I didn't mean multiple LL, just 1 ERLL and a bunch of DHS and AC2s. 1 ERLL deals the same damage as 2 LL at it's max effective range. The fact that it's in the torso, sometimes swiveling behind the arm-mounted AC2s as you're leading the target and in a high position is bound to make it worthwhile. Otherwise You can still just move it to the arm if you prefer that.
