Yes, you will most probably die every battle. That having said, you will most probably takedown a big guy or two before you die, if not more. Being fragile and not too nimble means you will want to play it smart and approach from the side. This guy packs a punch on par with the JM6, and it will kill. You can build this with other BJ variants also. Just remember that you are on SHS not DHS, but then again, you will not have time to worry about that. If you are getting ganked, you WILL die, so mind as well fire that extra shot all the way up to OverHeat and hope you will take one of them with you.
Drop a ton of ammo and add some JJs and you have a 'jump sniper.' This build was posted as a joke in the Blackjack opinions thread.
I'd be really worried about missiles (especially in the new meta) with so little speed, armor, no AMS, and short-range. But how else do you load 2x AC20s on a medium?
While foreseeable it is to do a good amount of damage, "That having said, you will most probably takedown a big guy or two before you die, if not more," does not seem likely. If you catch a badly damaged enemy, of course, but if you run into a heavily built Atlas with his own AC/20, your attack power will be cut in half guaranteed 75% of the time. High stakes that they know what you're wielding and will go for the arm. The engine makes it sluggish and it'll turn slower too, making the neutering more viable. Interesting build though. Shame that it lacks something over 10 shots of 40 damage.
Hunchback IIC of the IS? Yes that is where I get the idea. When I was playing with this config I lurk behind one of my team's Assault. I engage the target that is already engaged with he friendly Assault. People tend to not notice the BJ having AC/40 equipped, allowing for you to pour in the first few sets of dual shots. As for the 10 shots... that is pretty much how long you would live. Works better with city fights where you get loads of cover. It is not a totally functional build, and does require some luck. But really fun when you can pull it off.
While this is certainly interesting, I think an AC20 and a battery of mediums would be better. 4xML+AC/20 is the same alpha strike, but the MLs give you 10 spare tons to put towards armor and speed, and they will continue to do damage after 10 shots.
I that place, Maybe a Hunchback is a better idea. More laser, more tonnage, more armor. You do lose the jumping and the XL engine though.
What about Dual AC/10s with more Speed and more Armor: Ammo is low, so make sure to land hits 100%. Blagg Zear
