Elephant indeed. Slow and hard-hitting... just the way Awesome pilots like it, lol.

 

You can drop some of the SRM ammo and get a Beagle Active Probe, by the way... for what it's worth.

The 8T looks good on paper. It even was good for a while. Then they took the piss out of missiles.

The artemis looks interesting. I wonder if 3MPL is enough close quarters punch though?

I really think Awesomes aren't that bad... The very first 'Mech I bought in this game was an Awesome, the 8V variant. You know, PGI made a weekend sale of the 8V a couple of weeks ago. I bet noone bought it, LOL.

Well, rather than the MPL+LL combo, you can get 2 LPLs and 3 MLs instead. Though as far as I can tell there isn't a big firepower/damage increase.

On paper, the 8T looks good... I agree. I'll buy it and test it myself, see how it performs.

I bought it..

They reduced the arm range on the Awesomes, so now you can't use it in brawls anymore. You have to go back into spongebob-mode to get a shot off. The 8T was really great for this and now it's gone.

I just can't give up on the 8T, it just looks so good on paper..

 

Crap... well, I'm really sold on the 8T.

Let me share my 8V version... see if you'll like it.

 

I'm already hooked on trying to make the 8T work (I have embarrassingly large amounts of XP on it, and it already has an extra module).

Nobody else is in here, so we might as well try to brainstorm a build that works. I'll put up some of the builds I have been thinking of and trying out.
