losing 6 points of armor will get you the extra ton you need to put in another heatsink. Move the large lasers into the same arm (better for poking anyway) put the medium lasers in the same arm and you will free up the 3 contiguous slots needed to fit the new HS in.

If you use gauss then remember to put CASE on the gun. Gauss ammo can ba blaced anywhere since they don't go Boom. The gun, however, is a giant piece of firework.

But yeah I love Gauss.
