I have really a hard time finding a build for my DDC, and I finally arrived to this : The 3 LRM5 are designed to soften enemies before engaging. I love their great cadence of fire. ER-PPC allows you to engage from distance, and give you a nice 30 points of focused damage with the AC/20 in a brawl.
Are you aware of the efficiency of the AMS? When a swarm of missiles enter 90m from the mech (priority on those targeting him) the AMS will shoot down 6-7 missiles. If you chainfire, you give the AMS more time and it may get 10 of the salvo. If you launch all 15 at once, it will take max 7. That said, a stream of missiles is annoying as heck. I'd drop artemis, drop the ppc, drop some ammo, drop the case, upgrade to two LRM10 and get two LLAS. And consider Endo. If this build works for you, excellent. I think it's not using the full potential unfortunately.
For the LLas, I am really bad at using them. Everytime I try them, I finish CT cored. That is why I prefer the use of the PPC. With its instant shot, as well as the AC/20, I can torso twist to protect myself. But I think I am a poor pilot as everybody else seems to shine with LLas :blush: And to manage heat and ammo for AC and LRM, I had to stay with no endo-steel. With this constraints, I find this build quite effective
