Basically an old build with added Artemis and enough Ammo for the Gauss to last a long while even in todays meta. The 325 Standard is a bit faster than regular 300.
I know what you're thinking. Did I shoot 39 Gauss Rounds and 16 SRM volleys, or 40 and 17? Well, my HUD is bugged, so I've kinda lost track myself. But this is an Atlas, the heaviest, most powerful Mech in the game, and can one-shot you with an alpha strike. So you have to ask yourself this question, "do I feel lucky?". Well, do ya, punk?

For TS, is this a brawler or a ranged fighter? It's a cool name but the mix of close quarters weapons and one Gauss makes me go ouch. If you brawl in this there is a lot of free damage for the enemy coiled up in the Gauss that will travel into your center torso. I run Gauss myself on a few builds, Atlas included. But my other loadout is er lasers or ppc's to do ranged damage or suppression. I like this better then the base version but still hold to my point, if including a Gauss go all longrange with minimal closerange weapons. You don't want someone to come within proper AC20 range. A dual ac20 jaegermech would be thrilled to see that Gauss barrel. That said, if this works for you, go for it! We are all different, do what works for you.
I find the Gauss works great as a brawler weapon with long-range capability. Compare it to ER PPCs (which might be pretty powerful but generate a lot more heat than a Gauss) or PPCs/LRMs (minimum range) and it's the best weapon for being effective at all ranges. It complements a brawling setup very well and adds potential at range.
