I think it's a pretty safe bet that that is indeed the loyalty skin, but there is really no way of knowing until the mechs are actually previewed/released.
Something bothering me: wasn't the old CN9-AH without lasers on CT? I won't say no to zombie hardpoints, but iirc hardpoints used to be 3 ballistics on right arm and 2 missiles on left torso.
yeah, and the missile hardpoint is different on it from other Cent's. Perhaps they are updating the Cent line to actually show the weapons???
Russ did mention on twitter that its a custom skin/geometry and that cent doesn't have missile doors: Russ Bullock @russ_bullock 19h19 hours ago @BishopSteiner @MechWarriorF2P @HerbuRola not decals but custom skin and custom geometry. New shield is cool. Russ Bullock @russ_bullock 19h19 hours ago @BishopSteiner @MechWarriorF2P @HerbuRola missile doors were very technically challenging when your talking like 2 tubes to 18+ dynamically
I've had a few pugs recently with direwhale lances. Never felt safer before in my KFX It can't be AH, it has lazors on the CT. Probably a refresh job of the Cent, as far as i remember they did the same with the Spider
It was supposed to be the -AH and every PGI posts announcing the release of theses "anniversary" variants refer to it as the -AH. That's why we were surprised by the image they released. Actually, it might be a CN9-D (2 ballistics on the arm, 2 energy on CT and 2 missiles on left torso). As well as the Atlas might not be a -S but a D-DC (the -S variant does not have 3 missiles on the left torso, only 2)(as well as it does not have lasers on CT). Still that "laser eye" remains a mystery but it might just be a feature of the new skin just like the founder skin has a different head design. PGI might have used these variants as basis for the skin design at a time the actual new variants were not completed yet, and/or used it for the promotional images thinking nobody would notice (which is underestimating the fanbase nerdism) and thinking it wasn't important enough that they'd waste a designer time to make an second image matching the actual hardpoints of the new variants.
The paint scheme on the altas tempts me to buy an a-la-cart package just so I can has it. So pretty....
I thought buying MC and getting mechbay count as spending also? Well, getting extra hardpoints for it maybe? I mean, we are missing the backwards pointing hardpoints. So getting them forward pointing may be ok I guess. (I wish they give us those energy hardpoints in regular atlas)
That's also what I'm thinking. Rear-facing slots will not be avialble any time soon..... And the Atlas S has two rear-facing laser-hardpoints, which will be forward-faced. The left torso has 2 missileslots forward and 2 missileslots rear-faced... just do the math .... If they translate the TRO 101 with all the hardpoints facing fwd this would mean RT - 1B / LT - 4M / CT - 2E / RA - 1E / LA - 1E for the Atlas. The CN9-AH just had the AC20 in one arm and the LRM10 in one torso. Guess two E-Slots in the center are being added to make it more competitive.
You get the Centurion for buying MCs (or get some from a founder package) but to get the Atlas you need a founder/phoenix/invasion package. http://mwomercs.com/forums/topic/171263-1-year-customer-appreciation-program/ Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember correctly the lasers on the AS7-D torso are on the rear too. PGI turn them on the front, they'll probably do the same with the -S' backward pointing missile hardpoints (that would make 2 on the CT and 2 on the LT). And won't add any non-canon hardpoint, as far as I know they never did.
That's not true, the Victor's are not even built with their correct loadout according to lore, and the DS is not even a lore mech. Meaning they don't have lore hardpoints. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Victor
What do you mean they don't have their correct loadout? Looks right to me. Of course the DS gets away with things because it's not a lore Mech, but they already said that not all hero mechs will be from lore.
Forget where it was posted, but someone put up a list of mechs in game that differ from canon hardpoints. If I recall correctly, it's always been by providing additional hardpoints, sometimes in a new location but usually turning things like 1 ballistic into 2, or 2 missiles into 3, etc.
Wait, I thought these were supposed to be delivered by now...? Now I can't seem to find a date. I patched the client to see them but I don't have mine. Too soon?
