This nonsense is what I've using to good effect in the pre-quirkpass information gathering weekend *cough* erm, tournament, yes, of course I meant tournament. (http://mwomercs.com/news/2014/10/984-chassis-leaderboard-challenge). The shield arm is nice, but not reliable because of your profile. If you're not careful, you can lose your LL! All told, the setup is meant to make sure that if you lose your ammo side early you will still keep an ammo-less weapon until you die, which has helped me considerably. If you're comfortable using twisting/shielding, you can swap the LL and LRM locations so you have right side STRONG SIDE and a few javelins to toss with otherwise bare left. Weapon groups: 1 - LL 2 - UAC5 3 - LRM5 For those comfortable with using your ammo instead of the LL for all poking, here's the "never defenseless" variant: The play-style is fundamentally the same, but trades the high-heat ammoless poke for enough ammo to poke without running dry while keeping better sustained brawl damage. Either way, the LRM is there for indirect fire poking when you can, and I have found cAP unnecessary. It does fit better into the second build, however (either drop 1/2ton of ammo from each weapon, or 1 ton of your choice). This is the build that got me there! [edit]With quirks now out, tweaked the LA/LT pods to be LA-D and LT-A. This provides a cumulative quirkening bonus of -3% laser duration to help with making that laser stick. If you're going to farm challenges, every bit of minimizing exposure helps you stay alive![/edit]
