Funny, I ran my 3x UAC Jager for a while the other day and it went pretty well. Should be interesting with the quirks really in there!
... ... ... a .75% quirk? ... ... ... let me get my streamers and fireworks to celebrate... Jesus... if they say "5%" in patch notes, they should REALLY learn to communicate... If it was 15% down to 10%, that's actually a legitimate quirk... if it's 15% to 14.25%? Piss off... why even bother. What a joke. I'm tired of this. Summoner got the same jokes.
It's funny how PGI makes the cooldown quirks additive (still stupid, 'quirks' can triple DPS of a weapon with this), and much less, and these jam chance quirks multiplicative. Such consistency, very wow.
Remember the patch that brought us "cool down" mods? do you...DO YOU?!? I DO I'm educated, self employed- 20 years now, grew up in a household of professors and teachers... That "cooldown" module offered, I read it, carefully... Spent about 40 bucks real money, converted XP, bought four modules...mostly for the recently crippled Nova heat problem.. Imagine my dismay when it actually meant the weapons fire faster....and generate MORE heat. At least they changed the verbiage in the days following. No surprise maths are some wizard PGI devs hide from. Hopefully they wont get stuck on 6" edges while escaping.
Amazingly enough the knowledge you were after was in the command chair describing the modules. I'm sure that household taught you to go research things before jumping to conclusions.
I should have taken screen shots, they changed it to what it is now. That first night, it was not clear and the intimation was about "cool" down. Something to the effect of decreasing the amount for the weapon to cool down etc etc So much so, I wrote support and they offered a re-embursment and a mech bay or something, I declined.
Presumably 3% jam reduction quirks become 18% (as for them 5% = 30%) so 15% jam rate becomes 12.3%. Basically a 2.7% drop and the 5% has a 4.5% drop. Allows them to keep it simple I guess as long as people know its multiplicative not additive.
